“Cozy Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had a great experience at the Southern Most Inn, very cozy and excellent staff - Dawson was very helpful with recommendations on where to eat or places to see. It was close to many things and were were able to ride our bikes everywhere!

Amazing customer service, accommodations, pools, bed, price!! We had stayed at another hotel for our first night, and we're less than pleased with the service, quality, and price. We considered southernmost because it was more affordable, and closer to the Hemingway house, duval street, southernmost point, etc. We called and spoke to Debra who kindly answered our questions. Upon arrival, Debra greeted us at the door, answering every question we could think of, and more! She gave us amazing recommendations, along with directions on how to get there. She was so upbeat, kind and honest in regards to what was worth seeing.
We rented bikes from the front lobby, picked them up next door; it was so simple, easy, and perfect!
We got to check in 3 hours earlier than expected which was awesome!
The room was clean, simple, and pretty. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the shower was great.
The two pools looked great, and the Hot tub was amazing! And open all night! The bar was open till 10 were we drank great blueberry vodka lemonade and recieved exceptional, friendly customer service from
Petey!

Breakfast was very good, and a friendly staff member greeted us. Starbucks coffee and tea in the lounge all day!

On the way out Dawson was at the front desk, he was super friendly and helpful. He looked up the weather for us, and gave us great recomendations on where to eat on our way home.

All in all, the staff seemed to go out of their way to provide exceptional customer service, the property was beautiful, clean, close to everything and had wonderful amenities!

Southernmost Inn is close enough to any activity, whether it be walking Duval Street or visiting the beach a block away, but far enough away for peace and quiet at the end of the day. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Our room was at 521 United Street (2nd blog for the Inn). We were on the second floor and loved it!

So, I will start this review by saying that this was our third year, (the first two times when it was Pearl's). We were very disappointed when we stayed here last year (2014) but decided to give it another chance. We are glad we did. The rooms have been remodeled, they pay attention to cleaning up the common areas and making you feel welcome. It is very clean and even though it is a very short walk from Duval Street it is very quiet. The pool is impeccably maintained and warm. Petey was our bartender for most of our stay and even though it was her first week working there she was very professional and knew the area well so was able to recommend restaurants and such. We will be back again next year hopefully for our fourth visit. We love the adults only feature. We do wish that they would offer a bit more on the bar menu but otherwise this place is a great value for the money.

My husband and I just got back yesterday from a weeks stay at SMI. Dawson at the front was so helpful and kind and humorous. We really enjoyed the staff there. Our room was tiny, but we were upgraded to king size room. Only thing missing was a place to put our luggage but everything was immaculate and nice. Would highly recommend this place!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this quaint Inn during my Spring Break from school (I'm a middle school teacher). We were given a second floor room in the building to the left of the reception house. The room, at the far end of the hall, last room on the left, was roomy enough for us. The king-bed was comfortable and the bathroom was just big enough for one-person to maneuver around in. We really liked having an in-room frig. We were close enough to the 2nd. floor deck that we took some appetizers and drinks out there one evening to enjoy the fill moon!. the spiral staircase (tight but fine) took us downstairs to the on-property bar. Great drink specials and snacks. The continental breakfast each morning was more than satisfying. And, the gentleman that worked it (I can't remember his name) was wonderful! Now for my only real concerns;
This is advertised as an "Adults Only" Inn. A family with two kids were poolside on our last day. This was one of the main reasons that we selected this accommodation. The two pools were very pleasant; however, there were several people smoking poolside and this is a big "turn off" for both my husband and I as well as their loud, drunken use of profanity. We are used to "non-smoking_ properties (even poolside). There is limited on-site parking so we ended up "feeding the meter" across the street from the Inn. All in all I would return; however, I would need to reassured that the Inn is "Adults Only". When you teach students 189 days a year you don't want to have to be subjected to "non-parenting" on vacation...

Room Tip: Quieter rooms are on the 2nd floor, end of hallway.

My friend and I went to Key West for a short 4-day vacay and we loved the Southernmost Inn.
The location is great - close to downtown and close to all the great beaches. Quiet, but convenient. The bar staff and front desk staff are great (thank you Petey, Eric, and Dawson!).
The pool doesn't close, and the Inn is adults-only so there's never too much ruckus. ;)

Room Tip: Our room (216) was right between the pool and the bar - perfect!
