My husband and I loved this resort because all rooms faced the ocean, the grounds were so well taken care of, and it was peaceful and quiet. The staff was very helpful at the Hyatt, and the rooms were clean and beautiful. We chose NOT to rent a car--walked to & from the airport, rented bicyles, rode the city bus, and took the 2-day trolley, which picked us up at the hotel next door to the Hyatt...could hop on and off the trolley to see most everything on the island. When we stayed at Mallory Square for the Sunset Celebration (be sure you do this at least once!) we just took the city bus back to the Hyatt because the trolley was no longer in service after 5:30 PM. Since we are seniors, the bus was only 50 cents. We shopped at the Publix grocery store using our bikes (and also rode the city bus to the store). We would highly recommend seeing the Butterfly Conservatory on Duval Street. We loved watching the airplanes taking off, and were not bothered whatsoever by the ten-second roar of their engines. Next fall we hope to return to the Windward Pointe. We LOVED our vacation!
