My husband and I stayed at The Gardens for 8 days and had a wonderful time. The grounds and pool are great, the hotel rooms very clean (which is very important to me) and nicely appointed, the house cats Terry and Puff Daddy are adorable, the breakfast was perfect for us as well.

The thing that truly separates The Gardens from other establishments is the people. Everyone we came into contact with--from Ben, Erica and Nancy who handle reservations, bookings at restaurants or other attractions to Jim who maintains the pool to Tony who helped us with our luggage to Billy and Joel at the bar, and finally, Mick (General Manager) and Kate Miano (Proprietor) were the most friendly, attentive, helpful people we've met through our travels--and we've traveled all over the world.

This was our first trip to Key West and we absolutely loved it. I really believe that the folks at The Gardens helped to make that possible. The champagne upon arrival is a great touch and we loved the very helpful restaurant suggestions and reservations. We absolutely will return to Key West and will absolutely stay at The Gardens. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a pampered and relaxing stay!

We, ages ranging from 28 to 62, were very pleased with this charming well maintained hotel in a good location able to walk everywhere. No you can't see the water, it is not in the midst of where all is happening but it is a wonderful place to return after a party night and hot touring day. The pool is small but pleasantly refreshing, the breakfast is good, the people are cooperative and helpful, the bar and bartender are nice touches by the pool and the rooms are large and well appointed. The gardens are a treat from your porch and all in all a nice place to be. My only complaint, which we never mentioned to the owners, was the air conditioning....not very effective, but that was only our room, no complaints from the rest in our party.

My husband and I just returned from the Gardens Hotel. We will definitely return. It was a great place to stay for our getaway from "our tots". We felt the staff was very helpful and gave us pointers on the area. We did not have to work at all. We asked suggestions for dinner, excursions, and shows and they made all the reservations and left a note on our door as to tell us when to show up. It is in a great locale. Just steps from Duval but far enough away as to not be disturbed. We would definitely reccomend it.

it was great. My wife and I stayed at the Gardens when hurricane Katrina made its way across south Florida. The hurricane was still a weak hurricane and it missed Key West directly, but we still had strong winds, no power and water up to our knees in the streets (the property stayed dry, even in record rainfall, by they way). The owner and hostess brought in a wonderful complementary catered dinner and served up complimentary drinks (a lot of them), when we were unable to leave the property one night. I don't know how she was able to find all of that great food when there was no power. Our timing could have been better, but the hotel did every thing it could to make our stay enjoyable under the circumstances. I would not stay at another hotel in Key West.
