“2 bedroom/bath condo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

We were going to get a hotel for 2 nights with 2 rooms. I found this Hyatt vacation rental property and we had a large condo with 2 bedrooms/baths. I requested both bedrooms have a king size bed and was accommodated. The condo also had a screened in patio overlooking the pool. The condo was clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable with good size bathrooms. The kitchen was large for vacation condo standards. We would definitely return.
Only down side was a very early check out (10 AM). I asked for a later check out and only was given till 11 AM.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor and had no noise issues. All rooms face the pool area so families with chil...

This property is very well taken care of for a time share resort. The lobby is very welcoming and the staff, though limited, was very accomidating. The unit we were in had a great screened in patio facing the pool and the gulf, which you should ask for so you can see the sunset from the patio. The unit itself was very clean and stocked for our stay. It does show its age abit with the appliances but not in a bad way. The pool area was great and there are plenty of pool toys and floats for everyone to find something to play with or float on. The sand area between the pool and gulf water is nice with great chase lounges with covers to just relax.

This property is away from everything downtown, which could be good or bad depending on what you want. I enjoyed it as it was more peacful and relaxing then staying in the heart of the party. You are only about a 5-10 minute cab ride away from about anywhere ($4.50 per person to get to anywhere on Duval).

The only downside we really had was with the Tiki bar. I wasnt expecting much and they still under delivered. They only had three different choices for alcohol, all a brand I had never seen. The mixers were limited as well. The watermelon mojito was good although I wouldnt want to rink to many with the rum they had. They had just started serving food the day before we got there but I didnt try any. There is a lot of potential for the Tiki bar but it is not up to par with the rest of the facility.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the balcony facing the gulf in buildings A,B or C. The top floor (3rd) gives th...

Hyatt Beach House in Key West – Its got a little beach that’s not worth much but its pool definitely is! The rooms are spacious and beds are always comfortable. Parking is under the rooms so they are close. The kitchen is great to make your own meals and then it’s not too far to hit the town. The grounds are kept neat and it’s a great place to stay.

Dry Tortugas – National Park Ferry is a must if you are going to do anything! The beach was better than the others we went to in Key west since there isn’t really any and the water was gorgeous! We sent snorkeling, got a tour of the building and had a great day! Worth the money!

Fury Water adventures – Great times with them! We did a sunset and drink boat trip and saw amazing sunsets! We also spent the day with them snorkeling twice, awesome parasailing, jet skiing and more! Well worth the money for what you get – pick this!

Hemingway’s museum – We love cats and that was just the icing to a great tour and beautiful grounds. A nice stop to take kids see some 6 toed cats and enjoy the beauty.

Garbo’s grill - was fantastic! Great fresh food for a great price. A must go while you are in FL. Seriously, don’t question it just make sure they are open and go, early and often!
Islamorada Fish company – make sure you stop on your way in from the airport! Great food, on the water!

Willie T’s – great drinks and special prices! WOW! Great music and outdoor seating. We went in September during the off season and it was perfect with not many people compared to the craziness I hear it’s like during peak season. I prefer my space when I’m having fun!

La Trattoria & Virgilio’s – good Italian food. We stopped here because the place we wanted to go was closed for renovations, we were starving and it started to rain. Glad we did as we enjoyed our meals – large portions.

Stunning setting. Rooms were amazing; big;clean but homely. The Beach House is an ideal place to relax and unwind. The pool area is brill and the green bean bags in the pool are for zoning out. We hired bikes and cycled along the Atlantic boulevard daily and into the town. The town was much bigger than I expected. Lots of restaurants and shops. Busy, happy place. We'd like to go again!

The place is beautiful, so the rooms. Parking is free (as it should always be for a place like this) and the scenery from the rooms (at least in our case) was very nice. It's also worth to mention that the staff was very friendly, taking into account that I went with some family members without little or none knowledge of English.

Regarding location, well, this could be an issue depending on your expectations for two reasons: if you want to be close to downtown, this is not the place (anyway, I strongly recommend to visit Key West with a car). Apart from that, some other facilities such as gym and restaurant are located in other Hyatt hotel (you will be provided with a discount) but you'll have to drive to get there.

About the room, we reserved a two-bedroom suite (two bathrooms, of course) with a full kitchen. One of the bedrooms had a very nice hydro massage tube but unfortunately the heater wasn't enough to fill it up with hot water, so it was unusable. Truth to be told, I didn't ask for a solution for this because we decided to try it the last day.

With pros and cons, this is a place that I would recommend for your family visit to Key West.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side have also a nice view to a small river. If you open the window a little you...

We have been coming to Hyatt Beach House since 2002 and have always found it to be clean, relaxed, well-managed and good value for the money.

As a timeshare, it is well-maintained. When there are any issues, one phone call to the front desk takes care of the problem. The concierge service is always spot-on, as they don't promote any activity that isn't top of the line.

We especially like the relaxed and laid-back atmosphere that comes with a large property on the waterfront. Because it is located away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town Key West, we can truly relax when we want, and yet can be within ten minutes of any activity that piques our interest.

I highly recommend Beach House if you want a beach atmosphere combined with a well-maintained facility.

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor overlooking the pool.

We just returned from a one week stay at the Hyatt Beach House Resort in Key West. We did an exchange for this resort so I do not know the pricing or value. We enjoyed the resort very much. It was clean, the pool area was very nice, the beach lounge chairs were comfortable, it was quiet. The resort only has 74 Units so it is not a large resort. We had a two bedroom and brought our best friends. I liked the location because it was quiet and away from the busy area. It is only a 2-3 mile ride from town. We had a rental and had no problem going into town and finding a parking space or lot that was reasonably priced. After a fun day or night in Key West we came back to a nice quiet place. I would definitely recommend this resort.
