“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

A great place to stay when visiting Key West. The resort is out of the center of town so it is quiet and yet easy to get to town when you want to. Grounds and pool are beautiful; porches are all screened in; units are spacious and clean. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with sunset view...spectacular.

Stayed here for only a few days but loved almost every minute of it. Only dissapointment was ice maker in fridge not working, maintanence repaired by giving us a bag of ice. Housekeeping left the patio slider wide open all day and room was very warm upon our return late that evening. The jetted tub is a great idea but the water heater isn't big enough to even fill it a fourth of the way before the hot water is gone.

All that said, the property is immaculate, quiet and the units are huge, with a great floor plan that would make an extended stay very comfortable and relaxing. The master bedroom is very large and the tub and shower area shows like a 5 star hotel. I have seen few master's this nice. The deck is very spacious and easily accomodates several people. Furnishings are vintage '80's but in good condition and again, very clean. The units could stand some updating with the cabinetry and furnishings. Office staff was pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Very quiet and away from the madness of Key West. Spotlessly clean but needs a little attention and...

My husband and I first saw this Resort in 2001. This is when our vacations became something special. This Resort is located on Cow Key on the Gulf side on the right coming over the bridge. The master bedroom is large with a master bath, the 2nd bedroom is smaller. There is a second full bath. The kitchen and sitting room is very spacious. We sat 11 people in here with no problem. The pool area is large and inviting. We have never had any problems with people stealing or damaging our stuff.
This is our 11 th year coming to Hyatt Beach House and we Love it.

Hyatt made this trip one to remember and not in a good way! Our room did not have an oven. When we called the front office, they said all rooms had an oven. They said they would check on it but they did not. The dishwasher did not work. The room was not clean when we got here (popcorn on the rug). Maids did not come on our second day. We called the front desk and they said our room should be cleaned every day. They asked what we wanted to do. we want our room cleaned! The hot water heater sucked. It wouldn't even stay hot for one shower. The shower was full of mold. Maintenance was quick to come when called but annoyed as a guest to have to continue to call. The guest room is tiny! The pool was warm, but there were 4 floats that people waited for. If you know guests enjoy them, buy more! Very disappointed in Hyatt!

My experience in Key West wasn't all of I had expected, neither this resort. It's a good hotel, of course. The rooms are spacious, well designed and fully equipped, BUT: the location isn't one of the best, the resort amenities weren't great. The pool was just reasonable. And that's it. No much more amenities. The major problem was the internet access. It was terrible. I needed to bought a cable to connect direct in the router, because Wi-fi wasn't working well. Ultimately, I think it doesn't worthwhile what I paid for.

Very generous apartments, must drive to get anywhere, don't expect the Hyatt distinction, this is like a country retreat.

Everything would of been great if housekeeping would of returned my shirts to the lost and found. I forgot a couple of Armani shirts In the closet, never worned. Called back in a few hours, they said they will look into it. Then shifts changed, days passes, shirts were gone. Very disappointing, this is just stealling, the way I see it, and management won't do anything.

Other then this, it was good. Rooms are very big and comfortable, huge screened patios. If you use Hyatt all the time, adjust your expectation down by a star, this is a time share not a Hyatt hotel. There is no concierge or restaurant by the lobby or a starbucks...

You will also have to drive to go to town, the place is isolated. Previous times we visited key west we enjoined to walk around everywhere and not need a car, this time we had to play the commuting and parking game every day... $20 each time ...But I guess I could of figured all this out ahead of time by looking on a map...

So enjoy your time there but keep your possessions close. Remember: finders, keepers!

From the time we arrived at the beach house, the staff truly went above -Julie and Jess- and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The grounds are beautiful and quiet- perfect for our getaway.
The beauty carried into our room. The third floor def has the best views from the screened in balcony. The 2 bedroom unit is spacious. The mattress in the master allowed for restful sleep. The master bathroom was amazing with large jacuzzi tub. The AC in the room worked really well to cool us off from warm key west days. The grounds have several areas to relax- beach loungers, pool chairs, swings, hammocks, dock over water, chairs by the waterway and even rocking chairs on the porch.
They offer a shuttle to the Hyatt marina for $5 each person. Little hint- you can enjoy the beach and pool side service at the Hyatt marina, show your Hyatt 'Passport'- if your an owner- and save 20% on All food and beverage!
If not taking the shuttle, you can get to Duval for around $20 taxi ride.
We are already wanting to return to this quiet Oasis!
