After a horrible experience in another Key we made a last minute reservation on Hotels.com. When we arrived we had just missed happy hour but the lady at the counter grabbed us some drinks before they all got put away. When I told her it was my birthday she gave us a full size box of chocolates. The lady at check in was very friendly as was all the staff. Our requests for no down pillows or comforter was already set for upon arrival. They had a decent continental breakfast and allowed us to stay parked for the afternoon while we continued to sightsee after checkout. The hotel is 1/2 block off duval but you would not know it. You feel as if you are on a private isolate island.

Everying about the Almond Tree's rooms have changed--so much for the better! Love all of the new furnishings, bathroom, floors, shower--everything. Have a great morning continental breakfast and happy hour with drinks and appetizers daily! Staff is friendly and accommodating! Love this little getaway just off Duval Street. And since you are a 1/2 block off of Duval Street, you can sleep peacefully at night! We Love this place and refer all of our friends here!

Loved this small hotel with its convenient location 1/2 block off Duval - away from too much noise but within walking distance to either the southernmost point or to Mallory Square (A good little walk either way - but they are fun walks). Close to restaurants and Conch train stop 1/2 block away. Very nice breakfast each morning and nice happy hour in the evening. For this reason, a late lunch out was sufficient so don't have to spend a lot on food. Have to get in car to get to beaches, but they are not real beaches anyway. Friendly owner and staff. Pretty tropical setting around pool. Could easily go there EVERY summer for relaxation. (sigh)

I just recently concluded a 3 night stay at Almond Tree. Everything, from the service to room ambiance was just wonderful. The decor of our room was clean and modern, the bedding was very comfortable and the pool area was great. There was even a little pond next to the breakfast area! It is just off of Duval, which was a great location, but what made it better was that I couldn't hear anything off of Duval, so I could actually sleep at night. I will definitely stay here again the next time I return to the keys.
