This was our second stay at the Harbor Inn. It is exceptional. The rooms are spacious and clean, the garden is beautiful, and the staff is professional and as friendly as any I have seen on the island. The location is great for experiencing the Historic District and Duval Street. We have been to Key West many times and have stayed in several B&B's, this is the best.

“Paradise!”

Key West Harbor Inn

Aug 17, 2008

My husband and I have vacationed in Key West for several years. Three years ago we discovered the Harbor Inn. We will never stay anywhere else. Leonardo and Tracey are so friendly and always willing to go above and beyond what would be expected. The rooms are nice, the pool is wonderful, great breakfast, great happy hour, marvelous location near our favorite bar - the Schooner Wharf. Also, since we are "empty nesters" we were looking for a place without the pitter-patter of tiny feet. Adults only, here! Each time we stay, we meet other great folks who also seem to agree that the Harbor Inn is the best.

“Unbelievable Value in Old Key West”

Harbor Inn is located near the Schooner Wharf/Galleon Marina area of old Key West. Basically, it is close to everything (including Duval Street and Mallory Square) but far enough away to serve as a nice escape. Although we went in the "off season", I can't imagine a better deal for the money.

You'll immediately notice that you need a key to access the property making you feel safe and secluded (being that the inn keepers don't sleep on site). As with many things in Key West, no kids allowed.......which we enjoyed. The courtyard is quite large with a patio, nice size pool (heated at times) and very, very shaded with lush tropical plants and palm trees. In the heat of the August sun, it actually felt cool sitting outside.

Complimentary breakfast included everything from fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. Happy hour (which runs from 4:30-5:30) includes premium liquors (no skimping here), beer and wine. I do have to say that this is the best B&B happy hour we've ever had being they make up a mixed specialty every evening.

The room included a tv, full bathroom and a small refrigerator and housekeeping cleans each day. If there was one area for improvement, I would have to say it would have been the bed and linens. I was impressed that in a weeks stay, I saw the pool guy twice as well as time being spent to keep the plants in good condition. The pool is open 24 hours and includes the opportunity to go topless if desired.......remember, adults only.

There are many, many outstanding restaurants (almost next door) including the Conch Republic Seafood Company, Schooner Wharf, Turtle Kraals and Raw Bar. With everything nearby, the nights were surprisingly quiet. As for parking, you may have to fight for one of the free spots located immediately outstide the inn. If at first you don't succeed, try again in the evening after all the tourists have returned to their hotels.

Tracy (our primary host) was great. She is friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be around. As long as the price remains reasonable, we will definitely return to the Harbor Inn on our next visit. Let's just say that I almost didn't want to write a review to reveal this gem, but then again, it's already the number one ranked B&B in Key West. Enjoy.

“Refreshing Pool and Garden.”

Key West Harbor Inn

Aug 13, 2008

We had a very relaxing stay at the Inn. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is cool. We rented bikes from the Inn which was really handy. The breakfast was just what we needed to start the day. Great happy hour too! I think they could use a resident cat. We will surely return to the KWHI the next time we are in Key West.

Key West Harbor Inn

When quality, service, location and a desire for you to have a
good time come together you have the key for success.
Great location, when you step out the gate you are looking at
restaurants on the water, a view of the Harbor and within
2 blocks of Duval Street, Sloppy Joe's and the rest of Key West.
The morning starts off with Coffee and breakfast which last
till 11:00am. Fruits, muffins, bagels, cerals, juices etc.

The pool has cool water in the summer and heated in the winter.
The rooms are all very nice. Stayed in the "Cuba" which is a King bed with great bathroom including jacuzzi tub.

The happy hour from 4:30pm to 5:30PM starts the evening off and
always has great choices including a Frozen drink of the day.
Good location to Mallory Square and the Sunsets and all the downtown activites.
Come enjoy and relax it can be very addictive.

Have stayed in the Keys many times and it will be hard form me
not to come back to the "Harbor" in the future.

Side note came down on the Key West Express Catamaran from Fort Myers and you can walk to your bed and breakfast. Stayed 3 nights. Snorkeled, sunset cruises, Mallory Square, shopping
night life and good eating> Come on down to the Keys and enjoy.
