The place is beutiful, conveniently located close to everything in town. Very cute pool area. All rooms are arrange atound the pool area and there are no views out of windows. The room are compaq, nice but small. The staff are extremely friendly and service minded. Kim, in reception, was so nice and helpful when we wanted to go out and about and she reccomended a lovely beach in the National Park . Nice pool area with jacuzzi. Rooms clean and modern rooms with coffee maker, water and buscuits. Really comfortable beds. Breakfast was served by the pool area by a lovely lady who contiually prepared fresh fruit; yogurts; muffins pastries and cakes! We can highly recommend this little gem of a hotel and will with pleasure return here again!

The staff are outstanding. The hotel is not as good as the sister hotel the Almond Tree. We had room 101. The airvent in the bathroom banged for 3 nights. The room was very small, nice but small. The biggest issue was noise. It was like we were sleeping in the middle of Duval Street - Our room backed on to it. Almond Tree have free drinks everyday from 5 to 7pm - Orchid Key give you one per stay. Almond Tree has a great selection of food for breakfast and at 5 to 7pm - Orchid Key selction is not very good.

Truth is they are both very nice, but save $100 a day and stay in the Almond Tree!

The place is nice, conveniently located close to everything in town. Very cute yard with pool. Note, that everything is arranged like a motel - so no views out of windows. They are just not transparent. On the negative side should mention a very strange unpleasant smell of some kind of cleaning chemicals in the room, some mold in the shower. The breakfast is OK, but not really great. Also, I've met the least friendly bartender there I've ever met before. I thought, it's a part of their job description to be friendly... To summarize, I would never stay at this place, at least, at this price level.

We just loved this little nice hotel! Perfectly situated very centrally although in the quiet part of Duval street.
Extremely friendly and serviceminded staff. Kim, in reception, was so nice and helpful with boat tour reservation, restaurant for Christmas eve and even tips for our coming stay in Sanibel Island.
