“One of the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

We just spent a great weekend at Island City House. From check-in to check-out, this hotel is one of Key West's best!! The rooms are very clean and updated while still maintaining the old Key West charm. Lush landscaping surrounds the entire property constantly reminding you that you are on a tropical island. The included continental breakfast with visits from Mr. Toes (one of the resident cats) was always delicious. A great staff runs this hotel. They even had our room ready for an unscheduled early arrival. The location is prime. A short walk to Duval, Old Town Harbor, Key West Express, etc. Would recommend this hotel to all who plan on visiting Key West. We will be back!!

Room Tip: 3rd floor of Island City House has unique view of the property and close to the sundeck!!

We have stayed at numerous places in Key West, including the Westin (then the Hilton) and B&B's. This was by far our favorite so far. It is close enough to Duvall and Front Street water but not right in the mayhem. You are a few blocks from the activity yet it seems like you are miles away. It is very private and tranquil. The staff were very helpful. The gardens are beautiful. We rented bikes and were able to go all over the island. We even used them to go to dinner one night. The staff highlighted good bike routes on a map for us. Great experience. We will return to this establishment.

Room Tip: Arch House garden view suite was quiet with a great view

We stayed for two nights in a Arch House Studio room, stunning. It had a kitchen and private porch with a hammock. The location is great and within walking distance to the major attractions but far enough away from any noisy streets. We loved it there. There is also parking on the road. Breakfast was good and changed slighty from one day to next. Room was spotless. As a cat lover I loved playing with all the cats roaming around! There is also a lovely pool area and swimming towels in room

If you like simplicity like me, you'll enjoy this hidden gem. Great location, suite are very clean and if you can ask for the private porch, that's what won me over on top of cleaniless, great service and the gardens.

This has been our second year staying at the Island City House in Key West
Florida. Rooms are great, place is wonderfu, staff is super. One of the best
values on the Island and walking distance to Duval. We love it there!

Room Tip: Go for a room in one of the Mansions - complete kitchen, living rooms, etc.

Have neved stayed at B&B/Inn type of place before. Use to large 4-star big name hotels. This was great! Centrally located to everything in Old Town, people were nice and glad to have us, suite was SPOTLESS. We were on 3rd floor of ICH building overlooking the gardens and pool. Private patio area. Loved having ceiling fans in both rooms. Comfy bed. Good shower. Noise/privacy were never an issue. This place puts you in the Key West frame of mind. Very charming. Only con was porch light kept the room from getting very dark at night. I got over it. Breakfast was continental, and about what you'd expect-coffee, juice, pastries, fruit, yogurt. I was impressed that they had my favorite greek yogurt every morning. Eating in the courtyard while reading a complimentary newspaper was very peaceful, and a great way to wake up.

Very nice stay ,as usual, second time in island city house hotel and everything was just perfect .
this hotel is our hidden gem !
very clean, very key west typical, very close to everything (2 blocks from Duval street, ) very beautiful tropical paradise..... (tropical garden just in front of our private balcony) good breakfast , very gentle staff who is always kind to advise you or book something for you.
The best step of rest between the "Duval nights" and the days of activity on the sea !!!!

Room Tip: the garden side is so much better than the street side which is much more noisy
