“Above and beyond!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012 via mobile

Thank you Eden House for making our birthday/wedding day special. You guys went above and beyond to accommodate us and family for the occasion. Everyone loved the grounds, a true hidden paradise. Your location was more than ideal. A block away from our two favorite places to eat (Old Town Bakery and Paseo). The pool and hot tube were immaculate. The staff was warm and friendly. We can't wait to come back.

We stayed four nights days at Eden house, 12/5 to 12/9. The trip was a Christmas present my wife and I gave each other. We weren't disappointed. We arrived early (1100 AM) due to connecting flights and were greeted with no problem your room is ready. Samantha was a perfect hostess and showed us around the beautiful grounds. We met Mike Eden, the owner, who has a great personality and is proud of his hotel. Previous reviews have said it all, excellent location, perfect setting and an outstanding hotel for a quiet peacefull Key West trip.

Room Tip: Azur restaurant next door is great. Hotel guests enjoy a discount at breakfast. Mini market one bl...

Hi Jim,
Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I hope you will still buy each other a big bag of cheese popcorn and a six pack of root beer for Christmas. Oh yeah, I'm sending you a little something in the mail to remind you of your stay with us.

See you down the road and don't forget happy hour is always at 4pm sharp!

We stayed at Eden House for 4-nights in early December, 2012. Myself, wife and teen daughter. Key West is rather small, so most properties are close to each other and make very efficient use of all available space. Eden House is fairly centrally located. Staff was quick and responsive, although one has to carry their own bags to/from their rooms etc.

Stay here is you want a cosy, safe, and quiet place. Nice little pool and hot tub. Use their bikes and cover the island. Discount coupons are available for most restaurants etc. Age group of people staying was more in the 40+ age group, but there were at least 2 couples who could not have been more than 30-32 years old at max.

I would say, don't believe most of the ultra negative reviews you see. The place is just fine. Clean, quiet and very functionally adequate. Rooms and facilities are all in good condition. Parking space is just adequate to fit the number of rooms; cramped, but OK.

Room Tip: We stayed in Conch House, which is just slightly away from the main hotel. By away I mean on the oth...

Good place AND good prices for a few days : warm welcoming, lovely garden with nice pool, jacuzzi and hamacs ! the perfect place to relax in Key West ! and complimentary drinks from 04:00 to 05:00 pm ;-) what else ? really short walking distance (15 min) from Duval street (main street) and from harbour area (promenade and restaurants/bars) ! You will go there...and come back (I did it twice already !)

Room Tip: Good prices rooms with bathroom to share ! the way to make new friends ;-)

I stayed at the Eden House for the Key West Triathlon and it's just the best place to stay if you are a cyclist. Eden House pool is awesome, with a great little happy hour in the evening. Chairs, hammocks in the courtyard. The property is close enough to the action and the seaport, but far enough away from the noise. The street is tree canopied, the area is Old Town, the staff are sharp but friendly locals. There are so many great places to eat walking distance. I send people here all the time too and never once had a complaint.

As soon as you walk through the doors of Eden House you feel the essence of Key West. It is truly a little piece of paradise. The pool is small but tucked into a courtyard filled with hidden hammocks and a tree house swing all covered in a blanket of palm trees. There is a free happy hour for an hour each day to get your time in the keys started off right. I will def. be returning when I come back to Key West. The service is impeccable and they truly make you feel welcome and embody Key West's empowerment of "One Human Family." Just a few blocks from the craziness of Duvall St and the Key West nightlife!

This place is a gem in Key West. You can leave reality behind once you walk through the doors of this hotel. Just kick back and enjoy. No TV or electronic devices (only AC). Beautiful pool area, the kind of place you want to get lost in, just to explore what pleasant surprise you'll find around the next palm tree. Perfect place for couples. Staff was more than helpful. This place really reflects the true feel of Key West. Thanks guys!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Relax In Old Town Key West! The Eden House's first priority has been to maintain a clean inn, offer a comfortable bed, reasonable rates and have a staff that cares. Next comes the heated pool and Jacuzzi, hammocks, porch swings, waterfalls, sundeck, free off-street parking, café and lush gardens. We will have a cold drink for you at check-in and our daily complimentary 'happy hour' is poolside. Then at 10 PM we will dim the lights and let you get a good nights rest. Our night staff will not put a mint on your pillow but they will walk the grounds to insure that you won't be disturbed. I have owned and managed the Eden House for 27 years. I like to think that my staff and me do the 'little' things that will make your stay in Key West a memorable one. Key West is notorious for it's nightlife. Whether it is a sunset sail, a snorkel or kayak trip or deep water and flats fishing, the waters of the Florida Keys are like no other. Just let us know when you want to go.Grab a good book and a drink and I'll see you in the hammock area. ... more   less
