Everybody had me scared that I was going to walk into this blackhole. What a shock!!!
This was a phenominal experience. I would have to say that those that complained about the hotel are people who cannot be satisfied. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is not huge, but is not that small. We had a pack and play for the baby at the end of the bed, all of her toys etc. The balcony made the experience the best. Looking out over Duval Street was awesome. Don't hesitate if they are available.

Situated right in the heart of Key West (Duval Street), you won't be stuck getting home after a night out. The hotel was rather nice, car parking around the back (at cost), with a small but suitable pool on the roof (may as well head to the beach).

No problems with our stay, would recommend it for anyone who wants to be in the main part of Key West and prefers to walk around the area.

After reading many reviews, I was nervous about staying here. Upon walking into the lobby, I knew I was wrong. The lobby looked nice and clean. Checkin was fast. Walked into room and it was great. Beautiful and comfortable down comforters. Clean floors and clean bathroom. Plus, location is perfect on Duval Street! I'd stay here again!

We stayed at La Concha from 6/25-29 and found it to be a good hotel at a reasonable cost for our short stay in Key West. As it was our first visit, we found the location to be ideal for walking around and seeing the sites of Duval Street. We vacationed with another couple and had adjoining rooms on the top floor. Since we are Priority Club members we were upgraded to king rooms. The hotel rooms were small but clean and had all the amenities. We did not hear noise from our neighbors but sometimes could hear loud cars or motorcycles outside. We found the service to be friendly and helpful. One major complaint is the lack of an in-room safe. I had to keep my jewelry in the hotel safe and this necessitated stopping at the front desk at least once daily to change jewelry. However, they were always quick to help. The pool area is very small and was crowded one day. Other days we had no trouble finding lounge chairs. The service at the pool and rooftop bars was good and the bartenders fun. Overall, if this is your first visit to Key West, the La Concha is a good, central locale for your trip. We did explore some of the B &Bs and would probably try one of those for another trip.
