“Beautiful hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

We had a horrible experience with the night auditor when we arrived extremely late, but the General Manager, Tony Mendez, was amazing and made an otherwise bad experience, tolerable. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located in heart of Duval Street. It had a very nice mix of history and hip chic. The rooms were well appointed and very clean, although there was no frig or microwave. Slightly disappointing given the price you pay to stay here. The view of the islands from Top Spa can't be missed. The pool area is beautiful and tucked in the middle of the property. Despite the rocky start to the stay, i will be back, thanks to Mr. Mendez.

After a bad stay at another hotel in Key West, my husband and I opted to stay at La Concha for our last night in KW. At first, we were not going to stay at La Concha because it was a little expensive, but the front desk clerk was so extremely nice and helpful (shout out to Eric from Delaware!) that we decided to stay. I am so glad we did. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the staff is the nicest I have ever encountered, and you cannot beat the location. The pool was gorgeous, although I could see how it could get pretty crowded on a nice day as it is a little on the small side. It was great on our day there, though.

The only warning I will give is that the room is a tad on the small side. It worked for us for one night, but if we had stayed there for a full week, it would have gotten tight. I hate even saying that because I have nothing but great feedback about this hotel. We will definitely be back on our next trip to KW!

Room Tip: Duval Street can get loud at night, so you might want to request a room on the opposite end of the h...

My husband and I rarely repeat vacations but we enjoy Key West and the La Concha so much we have came back three years now. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel special. This year we arrived early and checked to see if by chance our room was ready, it wasn't quite yet. The desk clerk (didn't get her name) offered to put our leftovers from lunch in the hotel's kitchen frig until we could get in our room. The Desk Manager, Tony Mendez, was also very helpful . I was very impressed that he greeted me the next morning by name.

Only negative...need to work on internet connectivity and speed.

It is so great to be able to park your car and be so close to everything. Love this place!

A good accomodation for few days, the room were clean and good lighted. The employes are very kind. The location is perfect close the start of duval st. The swimming pool is too little but i never use it 'cause the sea is very close. Certain if i ll come back to key west i ll book there

We stayed here for the first night of our three night long weekend in Key West (we switched hotels in order to stay using points all three nights). If you are looking to be in center of all of the Duval Street action, this hotel is fantastic. The recent renovation looks great, and we loved the pool. I guess they used to have a rooftop bar that has been converted into a spa. That is a shame - I would have loved to have watched the sunset from a rooftop bar, but I have zero interest in an overpriced hotel spa service.

I read elsewhere on TA that the hotel is breaking up with the IHG hotel family, and it certainly appears that they have wiped out any mention of "Crowne Plaza". We are IHG Platinum and were never thanked or welcomed as such. This isn't a huge deal, but it was sort of annoying that they were completely unwilling to even consider a later checkout (check out is at 11 a.m., we asked to stay until noon - this seems like a minor request).

Front desk staff is a bit brusque - it seemed like they were simply going through the motions. We certainly don't need hotel employees fawning all over us, but it often seemed like they felt they were doing us a huge favor by letting us stay at the hotel. I can't name any specific incident, but it was just an overall feeling we got.

We waffled over whether this hotel deserved three or four stars, but we decided the noise issue could potentially be a deal breaker for future hotel guests, so we gave it three stars. The hotel is located in an older building, so the walls are not well insulated. We are not light sleepers, but during our waking hours, we heard EVERYTHING - guest returning to their rooms, children crying, toilets flushing, showers being taken. So if you are a light sleeper, you've been warned!

Room Tip: If you are concerned with street noise, ask for a room viewing the pool - it is noisy during the day...

Go here! Perfect distance to take a walk down to the ocean with the most southern point of the U.S. very nice staff, valley parking, great breakfast (we had a la carte) beautiful and tasteful decoration inside. Also close to the waterfront with good shopping! Nice but a little small and shallow pool. Nice room with a fresh bathroom!

This is NOT a typical Crowne Plaza Hotel that we have been accustomed to staying. We believe it is because, as we were told, that La Concha is divorcing from Crowne Plaza and the IHG Rewards Club. The lobby is beautiful. HOWEVER, we were very disappointed in the room we were given. There was nice crown molding, but the door to the bath had been repainted badly several times & had paint chips. No longer do they supply self service coffee in the rooms. We were told they would send a coffee maker with coffee up to our room. It took 3 or 4 phone calls & a trip to the customer service desk to finally be told they could not locate a coffee maker for us. Eventually 2 paper cups of coffee were delivered to the room. We were confused that with a restaurant in-house that coffee could not be obtained quickly. Chairs were stained & HUGE, eliminating the proper use of the reading lamp & adequate space between the bed to access the bath (we are NOT large people !). The FINAL BLOW was that the shower would not work the next morning and we had to change rooms to have a working shower !! Question: How did the maid clean the shower if the water did not turn on ?? Also, the toilet was difficult to flush ! The lady at the desk was very apologetic and pleasant. The manager did try to compensate us for all our problems with a complimentary breakfast and covered our valet parking. That was appreciated, but the anticipation of staying in an upscale hotel on our mini vacation was destroyed. Recommend others to stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Inspect the room first.
