“Best value combination tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

This tour is a very good value for someone who wants to experience some natural/outdoor activity and may not have the time to do a la carte. In 4.5 hours we got a catamaran ride out to a mangrove island, where we then kayaked and bird watched, then we went back to catamaran and dropped anchor in another area for snorkeling in shallow waters. On the ride back in, we were treated to a light lunch provided by our guide. The beauty of the catamaran is that this tour only allows 6 people, and can get into shallow waters, which won't accommodate bigger craft. George was our guide that day. He gave us a good prep for what we could expect to see on our trip, provided tips on how to operate the kayaks, was adept at pointing out native birds and then let us have fun snorkeling in shallow, clear waters.

“Wonderful relaxing day on the water.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Had a great day with George on the "all in one" tour. Boat has been recently refreshed and it is in great condition. Our party of four had the boat to ourselves and it was a very special day. George was an excellent guide and prepared a nice lunch as well. It was a refreshing change from the big "pack em in" tours we have had in the past. Well done!!

“HIghlight of our trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Carla was our guide for the day and the trip was awesome! We snorkeled, kayaked and got to see dolphins jumping in the water three times! She is funny, knowledgable about the wild life there and a wonderful guide. The tour was only four people so it was a calm relaxing trip away from the craziness of Duval St. Good family activity as well.

“The best part of our trip to the Florida Keys”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Bethany was a wonderful guide for us, and we could not be happier.  She made kayaking very comfortable for my wife and me, a couple of kayak newbies.  She was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife, and she really worked to bring the story of these animals alive for us.  We saw two nurse sharks, a juvenile and an adult, along with many different species of wild birds--and that was just on the kayak portion of the tour.  We then sailed over to a nearby shallow reef to snorkel, and we had a wonderful time getting to see coral, sponges, and local fish "up close".  My wife and I agreed that this was the highlight of our one-week trip to the Florida Keys, and we would recommend it to anyone.  There were just two other people on the tour with us, so it was a very personal experience.  As far as we're concerned, Eco Tours really delivers on everything they promise on their Web site! As a quick tip, _do_ bring a waterproof camera, and if you want, a bottle of wine. You won't regret it.

“Excellent downwind kayak tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

I must say the downwind tour exceeded my expectations after reading the reviews on this site.
Carla was our guide for the afternoon tour and she did an amazing job from calling ahead to arrange pickup at our hotel to suggestions for eating out in the evening. There were only four of us in our group which made it more personal while learning about the eco system in the Keys. Sometimes it can be difficult to hear the tour guide in this type of setting, but we didn't have any problems with such a small group. One suggestion to couples in a tandem kayak. Make sure your relationship is strong if you're inexperienced. LOL
