“Beautiful and relaxing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

This is our second visit to this hotel. My husband is a Hilton Honors diamond and we received a very nice upgrade (which we found that some Hiltons do not offer). Our room had a huge deck that overlooked the beautiful ocean. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and made us feel special. The room was clean and it was nice to get fresh towels each evening. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and so was the wait staff in the morning in the restaurant. We will go back for sure.

I certainly don't understand any of the negative reviews I read before arriving. The property is beautiful. The staff are great and food is wonderful. We traveled here with our kids and have all had a great time. We've been pleasently surprised by the hotel/property and Key West in general.

Room Tip: I would suggest paying extra for an ocean view

My wife and I stayed at the Casa Marina over a weekend and it was wonderful. It was a beautiful, quiet property away from the crazy Duval Street nightlife, but wasn't cramped like other properties you typically find in Key West. Duval Street was only a 10-15 walk away so we made the trip many times on foot and bike. The service, as you would expect from a Waldorf Astoria property was perfect, with the exception of one hiccup. We sat and had lunch at the pool/beach bar, and the service was awful and slow, to the point that we had to go get our own side plates and silverware. Our waiter was from NYC and he was chatting up all of the New Yorkers, but ignoring all the midwesterns, how cliche`! Other than that we would probably stay again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The resort is lovely and especially the beach is nice. Luckily we had a room in the old main building (the rooms in the side buildings are not that good looking). The room was spacious and well (modern) decorated within the style of the building. Sadly, our room was situated next to a gigantic air-condition unit. The unit made a lot of noise 24 hours a day. It was hard to get used to the ongoing humming sound. I requested another room at the front-desk. The suggested 'new rooms' were all less good looking in comparison to our original room, so we stayed. The front desk manager did not try to help us further out. Again the beach is lovely and we adored the hammocks. Negative point; there is a lot of seawead on the artificial beach, which is not nice to see and smell. In our opinion, the hotel can do much more to clean the beach.

My husband and I stayed her for 4 nights. It was great. Beautiful grounds and lobby. I belong to a travel program and we were upgraded to larger room and had free breakfast every day. The room was quite large. The bedroom was a separate room and then we had a large couch and table to eat in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The place is even dog friendly. The beach is one of the nicest on Key West. We walked to Duval one night (which was at least a 10-15 min walk so don't wear heels) and took cabs the other nights. It was nice to be away for the noisier part of Key West. The staff were pleasant. It is expensive but worth it. The spa was a suite they converted so that wasn't impressive although my body treatment was good. The bar by the pool made delicious drinks. The sparkling mojito with 10 cane rum was my favorite.

If you visit Key West, I strongly suggest you stay here. The amenities and staff are truly top notch and not to mention you can hit the beach to watch the sunrise on the fabulous pier (not many hotels on key west where you can do this). In addition, we had a small issue, which was resolved by the staff immediately, and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The food, spa and grounds are amazing! Do yourself a favor and head to this resort.

As a resort hotel I think the rate was fair. We had a great ocean view room with a lanai. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The beach area and beachside bar were really nice. The drinks were above average price, but they didn't skimp on the liquor. The beachboy Mitch was very helpful. The guys at the rental place were great. Incidentals at the lobby store were pricey, but there was a local bodega about a half mile away that had everything. (On South St.). I'm only perplexed as to why a Waldoff Astoria property would have such lousy TV? The unit was small and the reception crappy (what we used to call snowy). Really? In 2013, snowy? I can only think they figure resort patrons spend little time watching TV, so why not save some money there.
