“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

If you decide to stay at the Hyatt Key, you will not be disappointed. Staff is very accommodating. Large rooms. beautifully designed pool and hot tub. Minutes from Mallory Square and all of the fine restaurants in Key West. But, the greatest feature is the private beach. Lounge, relax, and watch the lapping blue ocean waves ease on to the soft sand. Enjoy a drink, swim in the crystal clear water. Snorkeling is an option too. Love the Hyatt

Large and clean room with bay view. Room and bathroom are contemporary. You can see the sunset just in the room. Hotel has its own beach and a lovely pool. Good location, walking distance to the main street, restaurants, bars and shops and you wouldn't feel noisy in the hotel . Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located in a great area. The rooms are very clean and a great balcony to sit out on in the mornings. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Beautiful sunset photo opportunities.

We stayed here two nights as part of a longer trip to Key West. Location wise, the hotel is just perfect. It is only a five minute walk to Duval Street, but it is far enough away that it stays fairly quiet. There is a small beach next door that was nice. Also, despite being at or near capacity, the pool never felt crowded, and there was always a waiter making the rounds in case someone wanted food or drink. We also loved having a balcony with a view of the water (and the sunset)!

Prior to our stay, we read other reviews of this hotel. Many people take exception to the cost - it is not a cheap place to stay. The room rate on a weekend night during high season is comparable to the rate of a Park Hyatt during low season. But this is not a Park Hyatt, and you cannot expect such a luxe hotel experience - there are no white gloved doormen or tuxedo-ed waiters, but there are friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were told by a local that Key West hotels consistently have an occupancy rate of about 94% (the highest in Florida), so the hotels charge a lot more than they would get at a less popular destination - it is definitely not just the Hyatt!

From the moment we arrived we where amazed by the beauty of the Hyatt Hotel and the surroundings. The staff truly welcomed us , making us feel at home, comfortable and welcome. We couldn't ask for a better experience for our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you!

Arrived late and ended up being upgraded to bay view. Rooms were spotless, large and the bathroom was awesome! The pool area and surrounding lounge areas were well maintained and easy to find a chair (it was so hot when we were there that by the time we wanted to be in the water - no problem finding a lounge chair. I found the customer service to be impeccable. Hyatt location was fantastic - close to the wharf for great dining option, close to Duval for debauchery and other food options and so close to Mallory Square for fun and watching the sunset. EXCELLENT hotel!

The Hyatt is a great hotel, very close to Mallory Square, Duval Street. The room was gorgeous, overlooking the sea, and very large, with a small balcony to have a cocktail and watch the world go by. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but saying that it was never over crowded, the pool staff were very polite and the pool food and drinks were delicious. We felt very relaxed here with our 6 year old son, he did not want to leave. The Turtles and Parrot were a hit with him and he got to name a new baby turtle at the hotel. Fantastic stay highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but do request a ocean view or pool view as these are larger. Be aware tha...
