My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa for 2 nights (Oct 7 & 8) as part of a week long trip to Key West and Miami Beach to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I did much research prior to arriving and heavily relied on reviews posted on Trip Advisor in order to select an upscale place for such a special occasion and I was not disappointed in my choice.
Everything about the Hyatt - the location, the room, the view, the food, the amenities and most notably the staff - was exceptional. We arrived a few hours before the scheduled check-in time and was quite pleased to know that our room was ready. The complimentary glasses of champagne that we were served certainly got our visit off to a great start. It became even better once we were informed that since we were there to celebrate our anniversary, our room had been upgraded.
The room was very spacious and included a very comfortable king size bed, mini-refrigerator, wall-mounted flat screen TV, a sitting area, two balconies (with tables and chairs) which provided spectacular views, a modern bathroom with a wonderful shower, an in-room safe, plush robes, an iHome alarm clock/radio with an iPod/iPhone docking station, Nepresso coffee machine and probably more things that I can't recall at the moment.
Each of the staff members that we encountered were friendly, courteous and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the SHOR Grill but it was very good both mornings that we were there. The 24-hour StayFit center was never crowded and the equipment was modern and easy to use. We did not have a chance to use the spa facilities or the pool.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If we should ever decide to revisit Key West and splurge on luxurious accommodations, we would certainly not hesitate to choose the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa.
