“Very relaxing stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Came here for a bachelorette weekend. Location: a distance from downtown, but the hotel does offer free shuttle service to the airport and to downtown. Taxis can be expensive so the shuttle was great, and the drivers were all very nice. Amenities: rooms were nice and comfortable, gym on site which I wished I could have made use of... but oh well. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Food: poolside food was great! And loved the cookies we got on check in and on request. Coffee in the morning was great and delicious. Concierge: soooo helpful! Gave us ideas on fun stuff to do and restaurant recommendations were great.
Really appreciated the changing room which we used since our flight was at 8 pm, and check out was at noon. So we got the chance to still go to the beach and pool that day!

We spent the weekend of Aprill 11th trough the 14th at the Keys and had a terriifc geart time.
The location of the hotel is like 5 mi away from the airport and offers free shuttle service to and from. In addition there is a shullte service to the main street , Duval , that runs every hour with stops at the beach as well.

Food service was excellent and they have a concinience store waliking disctance if you want to buy some groceries.

I would really recommned this hotel for yur next trip to the keys.

Room Tip: upper floors away from hte elevators

We left Miami, had a great drive down, and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Doubletree. A perfect location, not too near, not too far from the main attractions.
Shuttle service to Duval street, but we found it easier to take the car. Plenty of places to park, lots to see. The staff are great, the room overlooking the pool was good, with good sized balcony.Quaint is a good description.
Breakfast was plenty and good quality, will stay here again.

Sadly, our itinerary called for just one night in Key West. That’s hardly enough to scratch the surface of this remote and unique place. I chose the Doubletree due to its location (easy entry/exit to/from the island and a bit removed from the spring break crowds in town). With a relaxing central courtyard and easy access to town, this turned out to be an excellent choice.

WHAT WAS GOOD: Our room, a two-queen suite, had a surprisingly large balcony overlooking the pool. The enclosed space was large enough to contain a table, chairs and two chaise loungers. This was almost like having an extra room….The large central court contains a pool, Jacuzzi, cabanas and a good sized bar and patio. The area is well decorated and is an exceptionally nice space in which to relax….As with most Doubletree properties, bedding and furnishings are all high quality stuff….The free shuttle service is a great plus. Buses run on a regular schedule and can save you the hassle of trying to park in town, especially at night….I thought the food and service at Palm Haven, the on-site restaurant was very good….Service in general seemed friendly and efficient….The tropical aquarium in the main lobby is really cool.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER: Just one service flaw: I was charged the full rate and had to ask for a corrected invoice for my discount to be applied.

THINGS TO KNOW: The property is located in a somewhat isolated part of Key West, about 10-15 minutes by car from downtown. There’s not much you can walk to. The upside is that you’re well removed from the crowds, traffic and noise.

BOTTOM LINE: Book this place for some R&R and if you want to be in Key West but a shuttle ride away from Duval Street and Mallory Square.

Probably the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. Great view of a parking lot. Not within walking distance of anything of interest. Bathtub had a mat that was glued down with some sort of substance but was becoming unstuck right were the faucet water made contact, flipping up the mat to show filth below. Dog barking in the next room. Staff seemed uncaring and worst thing . . . some guy in a european male thong bathing suit by the pool (that needed to work out and tan before doning such).

Thank you for your comments. Please know that we care very much what our guests have to say about their stay, and we take each comment very seriously. I am sorry that you had a view of the parking lot. Unfortunately, not all of our guest rooms overlook the pool. I, personally, will ensure the bath tub is clean and the bath mat is replaced in the room where you stayed. I apologize for the barking dog, and what can I say about the thong -- except I agree.

Just spent a night, having been to resort about a year ago,
My last visit was off season, very quiet, this visit, was very busy weekend in key West.
nevertheless, no disappointments.
Once again, excellent stay, everything excellent, from start to finish.
Cannot commend staff enough.
I am aHilton person, having been a gold member for about 6-7 years, was concerned that this year they changed their program, now a silver member. obviously certain benefits no longer exists, but the tretament as a guest continues.

If you dont know key West, one thing to note, this hotel is afew miles from Duvall area; you will need tod rive or take the hotel's shuttle, which they have. Thus if you want to be walking distance to the docks, etc, stay elsewhere, but if the short drive does not matter, well worth the visit.

We always prefer to stay at Double Tree whenever we travel so this was the only hotel we considered. The staff we so friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They assisted us with renting mopeds and that was super easy! All the shuttle drivers were very nice and some even gave you a "tour" experience by pointing out land marks and giving a short history lesson about Key West as well as providing ideas for places to eat and things to see. I would just have to say the room was a little stuffy and not as nice as some other Double Tree's we have stayed at, but it was very clean so over all our stay was very comfortable. Oh and I can't forget to mention the cookies, one of my favorite things about Double tree! I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.
