This was our second trip to Key West - last year we stayed in a lower class hotel and realized it was not that great. We wanted something a lot nicer - even though you don't stay in a hotel room for a long time after long days of walking Duval Street and taking in the sights of Hemmingway House and the Butterfly museum we wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy something nicer. We were hesitant about a pool room but no problem, no noise, great view at night watching darkness come. The King bed suite had separate sleeping and relaxing area with two mini fridges, comfortable bed, thick towels and a jacuzzi bath. It was clean, inviting and the cleaning staff gladly supplied extra toiletries. When we arrived we were immediately acknowledge and while we had to wait a few minutes were constantly thanked for our patience. Warm cookies greeted us and the staff were extremely friendly. The dining area was clean and indoor and outdoor seating was available. Each day there was a complimentary shuttle to old town that stopped at two locations and was available for return every hour. it was prompt and the friendly driver would even accommodate drop off requests if able. That alone saved us $40 a day from the on/off trolleys available. Continental included breakfast had a lot of variety and the $10 parking at the time of our stay was waived. If we return next year we are certainly going to stay at this hotel again.

We went to Key West from Miami and spent a night there. There was no room available due to the speed boat race weekend. There was only a smoking room and we booked it.
While checking in we met Rhonda. She was very helpful and very friendly and she moved us to double queen bedroom. It was pretty comfortable.
The hotel is not very near to downtown but it has a free shuttle so you can drink as much as you can in Duval Street and take the shuttle back to the hotel.
Overall we were pleased of staying in Double tree Hilton and we reccomend it.

I had read lots of reviews on Trip Advisor of hotels and B and Bs in Key West and become pretty leery of them all, but decided on the Doubletree and really had a great experience staying there! It was upscale- and yet not stuffy- and very clean and comfortable with a nice small frig and lots of sink and counter space, plentiful towels, etc. and the staff were all amazingly friendly and welcoming. The only thing that I would add would be a small microwave. It is not close to downtown, but they have a complementary shuttle to several attraction areas around town that runs every hour and seems to always be right on schedule.. It is much in demand, and so can get quite crowded on returns, but they will send another out if the first one does not have room for all and it arrives in 10 minutes or so.It might help if they ran it every half hour to perhaps help with that congestion, but it really worked fine for us. Someone else mentioned a problem with ants, but there were absolutely no insect problems for us which was a great relief for us as we just had, had a bad ant problem where we had stayed on Miami Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Key West at the Doubletree and would gladly return to both.

Place Was amazing, employees really kind, we really reccomend this hotel.
The bus service running every hour from the hotel to down town and viceversa Was a big and welcome surprice.
