Hidden informative gem in keywest, not like any other overrated attractions. Family and young kids loved it...

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Amazing history behind this ship, very well decorated during war time and peacetime as well. The ship has been well preserved and you get a real world feeling going into the ship. Great museum, especially if you are a military or history buff or just like boats. The ship looks as if the crew just left and time stopped the moment they left the ship. You take a self guided tour at your own pace with no one rushing you along, take as many pics as you want. You can find the ship docked by Fort Zachary as you walk or drive toward the beach

“Very well preserved ship, both for old sailors and those who aren't”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

This cutter was well used, and when it was turned over to be a museum it was left fully functional. It's been a long time since it was moved, but, theoretically, it still can get under way. When you go below decks it still SMELLS like a ship. The exhibits on board give you a good idea of what serving on her really meant.

“A must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

This is a terrific experience! We took our three children & everyone loved this. It is a self guided, walk through tour. Lots to see & explore. The ship is beautiful & has been preserved just as the last crew left it when they disembarked. Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity!
