“Not the best place to stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

We were originally booked at the Comfort Inn but reservation was changed to Quality Inn. The lobby is nice but the rooms are old and not the greatest. TV didn't work. The concierge was very friendly and gave us a map and showed us all the highlights to visit. The hotel clerks were less caring and not very friendly.

This is a disgusting old property. 40 yrs old without renovation. No Gardner has been there on years. The carpet cleaner is boycotting the place. Wear socks in your room always! I am diamond member with Choice. 100 nights last year. If this is 3 Star I'm Lebron James. Remodel this place now!

Originally booked next door at the Comfort Inn, but an official notice posted on the door of that hotel said city shut it down the day of my arrival. The Comfort Inn transfered my reservation to Quality Inn.

The Quality Inn is old. The wall paper in my room was peeling. I walked on the carpet with bare feet, and my feet were immediately dirty. Most of the lights in my room did not work. The literature in the room was outdated and the restaurant specials it advertised were no longer valid. The pool area was older but fine. Plan to spend as much time as you can at the pool if you stay here. Overall, the room tolerable, but you can do much, much better for the rate charged.

I was originally booked next door at the Comfort Inn, but on arrival learned that the hotel had been shut down the night before. All reservations were transferred to Quality Inn. The property is old and not in very good condition. Rooms are dated and only on light worked in my room. Free WiFi never worked. They did have a shuttle to downtown, but you pay for it with an $8.00 fee added to your room charge. This was probably the property that should have been shuttered.

This was an older style motel type establishment but hey they' had a CBD Shuttle ( people mover) available that ran every 20 mins which was great advantage. The location was conducive for a good night's sleep and the brakfast was plentiful if somewhat crowded. The staff at the front desk were ever ready with hints on what to do and where to go/eat and be at at certain times.
For our needs it was adequate however I can relate to what other reviews mentioned.
No Lift would be a negative if you were carrying cases.

Room Tip: Ask for level 1 if you have a lot of luggage

Very helpful staff at the front desk, concierge, and the breakfast bar. A very good value, esp for Key West. The hotel provides a shuttle that runs frequently between the hotel right to downtown Key West making it unnecessary for us to use our car during our entire visit. The breakfast was substantial. The pool large, clean and beach towels were provided. The room was clean, with fresh linens and pillows. The floor looked like it could do with a shampooing.

Dirty, old, ovepriced, sink clogged, lamp falling off wall, dirty paint, old bedding, ceiling falling down, poor location etc. A real dump. I would not reccomend this place to the homeless. Do not stay here it is not worth thr grief. 42 out of 43 says it all.
