My daughter arranged this charter and it was great. Capt. Ron and Nina are terrific, making great suggestions about how much time to spend fishing for what, having a ton of patience, teaching us alot about the local water and fish, making sure we caught our share of fish and taking us for a great swim by the reef that miraculously cured the girls of sea sickness. It was a beautiful day on the water, I caught (with Capt Ron's help) the biggest fish of my life (a 22 lb king mackarel) which they suggested we take to Hogfish Bar and Grill (along with some snapper) where they grilled it and it was just delicious. We were a party of 4 adults (so 6 adults total on the trip counting the capt and 1st mate), which is a good size for this boat, any more people and it might be too crowded if all were fishing and catching at the same time. I believe we were out for about 6 hours, which was enough for us. We took bagels and sandwiches, but didnt eat. Some of us were queasy, the rest too busy fishing. They provided water, which was really all we wanted (oh yeah, we did have some beers with us for hubby - what is a fishing trip without a beer?) We are all used to boats, but not expert fishermen. The Capt and Nina took care of everything. We would definately charter with the blue eyed trader again if we are ever lucky enought to return to key west.
