Clearly Unique Charters offers 3 hour back-country kayak and snorkel adventures for small groups, taking a maximum of 16 people per trip. We took our trip with them in April 2012 and had a terrific afternoon. We especially liked the smaller group and the special catamaran they use to take you to places most other tours can't reach.
we took our kayak into mangrove "caves" and past nesting Osprey, Great White Heron and other exotic sea birds.
The clear kayaks, gave great views into the waters below where many fish, stingrays, sponges, grasses, other sea creatures can be seen. On our trip, we saw lots and lots of stingrays, it was great! The snorkeling part of the trip gives an even closer view of beautiful schools of brightly colored fish.
The top-notch professional crew provided detailed information on the ecology of the area as well as kayaking and snorkeling instruction, as needed.
Snacks, water and soft drinks are provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. We'll remember that for next time!

My wife and I and another couple went on the snorkel then kayak adventure last week and I have to say I was not super impressed, they took us to a dead reef where we swam around and didnt see very many fish (one stingray) then we all jumped in the kayac and rowed around the edge of a mangrove "island" all we saw underneath the boat was seagrass. Then we got caught in a driving rain (not they're fault, I know) but once we got back to the boat it took so long to get going we were all freeezing standing there soaking wet. The first mate (I forget his name, sam maybe?) was really nice and you could tell he liked his job, the captain (matt I believe) on the other hand came of as pompous, he made sure to trash another business that has a high rating on trip adviser when we brought it up, it is a restaurant that has nothing to do with him but he felt they dont deserve the rating and made sure to let everyone know. I also was not a fan of him asking us for tips, I just find people who ask for tips to be classless.

We had the greatest time-Kayaking/snorkeling with Fifer and Chris. They were very helpful while teaching us newbie's how to kayak.
It was so incredibly beautiful -sun shining,bird's singing and crystal waters-life is good.

Matt & Sam were fun & personable guides. Very knowledgable & steered us clear of an incoming storm - we didn't get a drop and had fun exploring Archer Key & snorkeling a wreck. Very fun - good value. Highly recommended!
