“Best Place Ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

This is by far one of the most peaceful and comfortable places I have stayed. The house is eclectic with art throughout and decor to match. There are comfortable sitting areas to relax on the front porch or in back with the orchid garden and hot tub. It is convenient to harbor, restaurants, and clubs, yet quiet enough to feel that you are at a quiet resort. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are great with cereal, fruit, homemade breads, bagels, etc.
I have already stayed twice and will be going there yearly (I hope). Marsha

The Popular House is close enough to walk to almost all of the best Key West activities, yet on a quiet street so that sleep is not a problem. The staff is so very helpful - guiding guests to activities as well as recommending great places for local food specialties. Fruit and baked goods for breakfast were really good. For those looking for am protein the only option would be the cereal. We loved our room, had a lovely time in Key West, would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 3rd floor with our own bath and balcony. It was truly lovely.

The Key West B&B Popular House is owned by an artist. As a result the exterior, courtyard, and interior are beautifully decorated. Every where you look there are exceptional works of art or landscape. The staff are very sophisitcated and determined to make sure you have a great time at the B&B as well as in Key West. The food is yummy. Great coffee and orange juice. The fruit and breads were to die for. We caught some fish on our trip. The staff made sure they reserved a spot in their freezer for our catch.
We had a room without a bathroom. 4 rooms share two large bathrooms. We never experienced any delay or embarrasing moments with this set up.
Great combination of price, location and custom lodging.

We don't often stay in the B&B so never know what we are going to get - but this was wonderful. From our check-in and orientation of the house and the town - through a lovely quaint room on the 3rd floor with a private balcony - our stay was great. The breakfast was beautiful with homemade nut bread - lots of fresh fruit and hand squeezed OJ - then eating it in the tropical back yard garden - Loved it! We also really liked the location. While really right in the heart of the residential area yet just short blocks to Duval St. and to the marina area - we walked everywhere and were lucky enough to snatch an on-street parking spot across from the B&B.

Room Tip: We liked the 3rd floor because it is very quiet and private - but beware there are lots of stairs...

My wife and I stayed for four nights at Key West B&B about a week ago. It is superbly designed both from an architectural and interior design viewpoint. Lots of color inside and out. We recommend a bath and balcony. It is in the middle of everything, and the staff and owner were gracious, helpful, and just couldn't do enough for you. No bugs or insects ever, and this is Key West with lots of moisture and humidity. After a long winter of brown and grey up north, our senses were literally assaulted by the bright colors around Key West and particularly in the B&B with all its artwork. As I said, it is very well put together. We strongly recommend staying here. The staff gave us all kinds of alternatives for tours, etc. We would recommend this to friends and family. Ralph and Carol

Room Tip: My wife and I like a private bath and private balcony, second floor.

Great location. People very nice, practically planned our trip for us. Breakfast was great. Had bikes on the property for rental. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was small but nice after a long day at the beach. This hotel is in walking and/or biking distance from everything in old town key west.

Bright white walls, high ceilings, porches opening on to palm ruslting nights. Attentive staff. And the art on the walls is gorgeous. Buffet breakfast of fruits, cereals, bagels and fresh coffeecake. Loved the squishy sofas and hammock.

Short walk down quiet streets to historic sites, shopping and restaurants.

Room Tip: Mynfavorite is the Blue Room in back is quiet, lovely and with own balcony.
