My husband and I had not been back to Key West since we were kids. I decided that I wanted my husband to experience ahh.. The Blue Parrot Inn was all that and more. The service was great and the people that encountered were very nice and pleasent. We have already reserved our same room in August my husband Bornday. We can not wait

My husband and I were visiting family in Homestead and decided to spend an overnight in Key West for our anniversary. We are so glad we chose Blue Parrot Inn! While the room and shower were small, everything was very clean and the Inn is very conveniently located to everything. Parking can be a little iffy, but that is true for every place in Key West. Barbie, at the desk, was very sweet and provided a lot of recommendations on where to go and what to eat. The patio area around the pool was a nice place to relax and enjoy a couple of cocktails. Bed was also very comfy. Will definitely be staying in the future!

We are so glad we chose a B&B in the historic district instead of a hotel in the newer part of town. As with all B&Bs in an historic district, it was an older home. This means bathrooms are adequate, but nothing fancy. But this B&B is full of charm. Plant life abounds on the property. Although it is just a 2 block walk to Duval Street and nice restaurants, there are no noises to keep you awake at night. It's greatest asset, however, just might be its accommodating and friendly staff. As parking is at a premium in Key West and there was none available upon our arrival, they allowed us to park our trike in "their area" until we could find an available slot. Also upon arrival, we were provided with all kinds of information that we would need during our stay regarding area restaurants, transportation services, etc.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room #1, which was detached from the main house. We believe we chose well.

We spent a week here, and we couldn't be happier with our decision for many reasons. Start with reason one: Barbie. Every visitor to Key West would be better for having begun by meeting and talking with her. She wonderfully personifies the pride and laid back attitude that many of us keep coming back to Key West to experience.

The place is small by hotel standards, and so are the rooms, but they are clean, comfortable and entirely adequate. This ain't the Hyatt, but we say That's great! The small size of this inn encourages everyone staying there to make conversation with one another, especially when having breakfast by the pool. We met many warm and friendly people that way, which truly enhanced our stay. The couple that maintains the inn are wonderful and friendly - again, you feel like family here. And there is a delightful cat named Coco adding to the ambience.

The location is perfect. Fifty feet away from Truman on quiet, residential Elizabeth Street. We had no car (we came by Key West Ferry) and never felt we needed one because we could walk to every place we wanted to visit or at which we wanted to dine.

The pool area is small but very private; plenty enough room for all of the guests who wanted to use it. Sparkling clean and heated. The breakfasts are adequate and the coffee delicious - a great way to start a Key West day.

We will be back to Key West again and again, and the Blue Parrot will always be our home away from home.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the rooms in the guest cottage near the pool area. Very quiet and private.

The location is great - a couple blocks from Duval Street and right next to a CVS, which also sold beer and wine. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and informative. The value was good, especially during the high season. Cute pool in a nice garden like setting. Also had a nice upper deck right outside of our room with lounge chairs, which was perfect for morning sunbathing. The room was my only complaint. I was in #3 and it was extremely small. The bathroom was very small too with a standup shower that's floor was so dirty I had to wear flip flops while showering. The bathroom really needs updating. Our room had a queenside bed, which was comfortable and the ac worked great. Overall not a bad stay, but would mostly likely stay at another inn on my next visit that is more updated.

The inn is old and needs to be up dated. The rooms are ok. Our greatest problem we had was the plumbing. In the three days we were there none of the four of us get full shower without running out of either hot or cold water. Location is good. The inn management is very nice.
On our next visit to Key West I will look for a different inn.

If I could do a staycation at this inn or even live in it, I would!

The place is just oozing with character, quiet at night but close to everything with good parking! Did I mention that they got a heated pool?!!!

We stayed 2 nights, Feb 10-12 and it's just a wonderful place. From check in to check out we are pleased. The receptionist gave us a map of key west with tons of discount cards to some cool restaurants and must see attractions!
Our room was just in front of the pool, reasonable size of room but clean with fridge, iron board and cabinets. Nothing fancy but flat out nice and clean good for the price esp in Key west!

They offer continental breakfast, unlimited tea, coffee supply by the pool area and a adorable cat that didn't bother us at all.
Night swimming at the heated pool is def a must! Unwind and drink after a day of activities.
Best of all, you won't hear disco or bar music so we had the best sleep!!!
Will be back to this place for sure. ;))
