“Go during a feeding time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

This is small as far as aquariums go, but we went during a feeding time and enjoyed all we learned about the fish (especially the sharks!) When we purchased our tickets, we were able to get a combo of tickets to other attractions so that we could save money.

“Nostalgic Aquatic visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We spent our afternoon watching the fish and other animals of the Key West Aquarium. It is in a historic building and doesn't have AC but the architectural details are charming and give detail to the history of it's existence. It very much has that Key West feel imo. The tour and feeding were a great addition. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed our visit and will return. Worth the stop. Take time to enjoy the up close viewing of many of the fish on display. My favorite were the moray eels. Also enjoy the touch tank and sting rays.

“Short but sweet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

Stopped in this cute little spot. Was glad to save a few bucks on my student rate kids. Probably 20 or so glass tanks with some interesting fish. The cooler part was the open air tanks with sharks, rays, turtles, tarpons, etc.

A couple tanks allow touching which is cool so wouldn't plan this as a centerpiece of a day's activities but we found it fun, quick and reasonable value.

“Nice and interactive aquarium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

My family is used to Sea World and members of the Virginia Aquarium, but in the heart of Mallory Square is the neat little aquarium known as Key West Aquarium. Small? Yes, but educational and it feels like you're closer to the "fish" than the bigger attractions. The nurse sharks are right there (no, it's not a touch pool, but you could touch them as they are that close). Out back you'll see sharks swimming in water straight from the Gulf/Ocean as well as rescued turtles. If you are going for size you will be disappointed, but if you are going for a nice quaint aquarium experience, you will enjoy (pretty decent prices when coupled with train rides or bought passes on base).

“A Nice Stop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

The aquarium is a great way to break up your day. We all really enjoyed being able to visit a second day as well. Our kids liked being able to feed stingrays, pet sharks, and touch the creatures. Not the biggest aquarium, but the guided tour is really informative, and overall we are so glad we visited.
