I was traveling with a group of 4, we booked two non smoking rooms for two nights from 4/5-4/7, through hotels.com. The front desk clerk proceeded to tell us that we had booked smoking rooms, instead of non smoking rooms. We knew this was incorrect as each of us is highly allergic to smoke and plus we had our written confirmation from hotels.com showing the reservation was for non smoking rooms. He then tried to tell us that they charge extra for non smoking rooms, which we had already prepaid through hotels.com. He was very rude and only after threatening to get hotels.com on the phone and with the help of another front desk clerk did we get the rooms we reserved.
Once we arrived at our rooms upstairs, they are a little less than average. One of the rooms had a dirty bedspread with brown stuff on it, yuck! Both rooms smelled of mold and mildew. The property definitely needs some updating and is a solid 1-2 star hotel. Otherwise the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful, the other front desk agents were great with the exception of the guy we had at check in.
I would suggest shopping around. You can get more for your money and a lot closer to the action and hopefully not the bait and switch.
