We toured the Hemingway Home during our visit to Key West. The tour is reasonable, and is worth doing, even if you never read any of Hemingway's books. The guides are very knowledgable and the tour is not too long. One warning, the home is not air conditioned, so don't go there looking to cool off. You will get an opportunity to see the six-toed cats, which is well worth the price of admission. The Hemingway House is a descent walk from the Duval Street area, but you can take the trolley, which will drop you off in that location.

Thank you for your review. We do get a few comments about air conditioning in the summer months, but being a National Historic Landmark and falling under the local Historic Architectual Review Commitee we are not allow to carve out A/C duct and vent openings through the floors or walls of the 160 year old mansion. I personally have some appreciation for "feeling" it the way Hemingway felt it when he lived here (with no air conditioning). Glad to see you enjoyed Irish Kevin's, their catering division provides food and beverage for our weddings and special events that we host here at the Hemingway Home. Hope you had a safe return to PA, I visit Boalsburg occasionally where my fiancee's home is. Love that state too.
