The Key West lighthouse is not a tall as some othes in Florida, but if you have never been in one, its a good experience. The whole site takes about 30 minutes to see and the cost is $5 pp. If you are in the area, its worth the time.
The lighthouse was pretty fantastic and the view was amazing from the top. Only wish there would have been an actual goat taking care of the landscaping!
A good landmark to visit And Walk up The 100 Stairs. An excellent view of Key West and it's lush Green. Also simple, but yet nice to Walk The Keepers House And watch The Movie On The past of The light House And Key West.
It's a heck of a climb, but the view is worth it. If you're afraid of heights, its not bad going up. I panicked a bit coming down. The Lighthouse Keepers Quarters were pretty interesting. Interactive exhibits and roosters abound!
This attraction doesn't take a long time to complete but you do need to be able to climb a very narrow spiral staircase but there isn't a better view in Key West still attached to the ground. The Light house has parking there isn't a lot of parking around so it's a great added bonus.
