“Not worth the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2012. The price they charge is not worth it for the quality of the place. Location is pretty good to Key West, a short 5 mile drive to Duval Street. Free break fast was okay.

First the good. Staff was amazing. I got a really bad sunburn and the concierge was so friendly. He helped by getting me sunscreen that is good for the ocean out of the hotel store and then advised me on where to get aloe vera with lidocaine. Second good thing is that that the pool area is very nice. The bad.... The Outside walkways to the rooms and the elevators are in really bad shape. One of the beds in our room slanted downward towards the headboard so bad that we couldn't sleep. We didn't even ask to have our room changed because we stayed during a poker run and the hotel was booked up. The price was outrageous for the quality of the hotel. If you don't mind paying much more for a hotel that would cost much less in a different city this is your place. Cheapest out of every hotel I looked at but the quality was that of a 50$ a night hotel.

Four of us stayed--room was adequate---were there to see things not stay in our room . It served the purpose-clean,comfortable . Breakfast wasn't the best - not much to chose from, maybe if you get there early it's better.

The property was taken over by Comfort Inn, and someday it will be a nice hotel, but not yet. Do not request an ocean view room, because you will be sleeping on top of a busy street. The pool side is much quieter. Also, make sure you request a renovated room. I saw some old rooms and they are awful! The lobby and pool are nice. They have a lunch bar and laundry near the pool. The Denny's on site is also convenient. They also offer a shuttle to downtown Key West.

We stayed here doing New Years 2012 and had a wonderful stay. Don't expect the Ritz, but if you need a place to crash your drunken little head this is the spot! They have a bar out back by the pool, which has decent prices and it is convenient. A hot breakfast is included, and there is also a Denny's below it if you were looking for more.

The most convenient thing was the shuttle. It was complimentary, and took us right to Duval St. (and two other stops). We didn't have to fuss with cabs at all.

As long you are not expecting the Ritz, you will have a wonderful stay. It's clean, and gets the job done.

This hotel needs some work and updating, but the rooms were clean, the pool area was great with a pool side bar, and the work out room was very good. The hot breakfast was the typical Comfort In fare, and for the area, the value was about average. Most of the hotels we researched in Key West were quite a bit more expensive. As was mentioned in some of the other reviews, sections of the exterior balconies were held up by steel support posts and some of the balcony and stairwell ceilings had pieces missing with the rebar showing. I would assume they have passed inspection or the hotel would not have been open. We did receive free shuttle passes that took us to Mallory Square and Duval Street where the action is which was a plus.

There is always a first. This is the first time I have ever been moved out of a hotel because the city shut it down. The Comfort Inn booked me at a nearby hotel that was dirty, had peeling wall paper, etc. I understand that unforeseen things happen in the hotel business. I also understand that you might even be forced to book your customers somewhere else. But the Comfort Inn should have paid me to stay where they rebooked me. Not the other way around. I am not qualified to say why the City shut this hotel down. All I can offer is the official notice posted on the hotel door (see associated photo).

My experience here is represents the worst value for I have ever had in a hotel experience.
