I have stayed in more than a few B&B's over the years, and many "historic" hotels, a lot of those hotels rely upon their architectural beauty and charm more than the real convenience of the facilities. I was suitably impressed by not only the hotel itself, which is beautiful, but also the superb location- within easy walking distance to Duval Street, the Customs House, and more bars, restaurants and galleries than you could ever hope to visit in a month of weekends. The staff was always helpful- offering hints for places to visit that were local hangouts- its hard not to be stuck in tourist traps in Key West. On a hot July weekend the pool was the perfect place to cool down. Clean, nice location and reasonable price- go for the junior suite if you get a chance- these are newer rooms and are really nicely decorated and exceedingly comfortable. Definitely going to stay again!
