The Marquesa is a beautiful hotel that is exquisitely decorated. The restaurant is fantastic as was the service. The courtyard and pool area were a total escape from the Duval Street madness. A negative is the lack of an elevator, so if that is a concern keep that in mind when booking rooms. Overall a positive experience. We would go back.

We stayed 4 nights July 8 to July 12 and loved the Marquesa. We booked a poolside room and were upgraded to a Junior Suite. The room, the hotel, staff, everything was awesome. We wanted a upscale oasis and choose Marquesa and it was. The 2 pools, private courtyard, grounds, and our room were beautiful. Upon checkin, we were offered complimentary glass of wine, which we accepted!
We drove from Fort Lauderdale throught the Keys, parked our car at Marquesa, did not take it out our entire stay. We walked everywhere, Marquesa is quiet, yet, only 2 blocks from Duval. We rented bikes and one night rode them to dinner at Azur, and then to the bars on Duval, which was fun, great band and dancing at Sloppy Joes. Also, we liked Hogs Breath for band, and Island Dogs for food and music, Counch Republic for drinks and shrimp.
Although we were unsure about KW and thought 4 nights may be too long, we loved the town and the hotel - wished we stayed longer. We had fun relaxing at the pool, eating, drinking, biking, and seeing the town. We also had dinner at Marquesa and it and Azul were both very good.
Marquesa does not include breakfast, and continental did not interest us. So, we had breakfast at Sarabeths and Pepe's, both very different and very good. The Faustos market is on next block and we purchased wine, beer, and food there. Marquesa rooms include a small frig, so it was convenient. Our own private happy hour poolside at Marquesa.
We would definitely go back to Key West and stay at Marquesa, it was perfect.

We spent 6 nights at the Marquesa from July 3 to July 10.
We were at the room #1 at the first floor. The room was very nice, clean , with a large bathroom and a living room (with sofa).
Marquesa is conveniently located, within walking distance of mots interesting and attractive sites of Key West. Marquesa also offers parking facilities.
We enjoyed a lot the two piscines as well as the tropical garden.
We did not take the breakfast there but there are several opportunities in the surrounding (e.g. Sarabeth). For the dinner, include the Cafe Marquesa in your selection.

My husband and I just returned from a 2-night trip to Key West. We live in Miami so we received plenty of advice on where to stay. I saw all of the accolades and great reviews the Marquesa received and decided to stay here for our "mini-"moon. We couldn't have been happier. The Marquesa is walking distance from everything in old-town. we were able to park our car and leave it the entire weekend. The staff was attentive and full of suggestions. They helped us find a wonderful jet ski tour around the island and booked our dinner reservations for that evening. Believe all the good things you read, the Marquesa is a perfect get away in Key West.
