My husband and I wanted to spend a nice, relaxing weekend in the Keys. We decided on the Marquesa Hotel after reading all of the fabulous reviews from Trip Advisor. For the record, it is everything wonderful you read and more. The rooms were immaculate. The service was phenominal. The location was perfect. You will not be disappointed! We plan on returning to this quaint, beautiful hotel again in the very near future. Marquesa is tops!

The Marquesa Hotel is beautiful. I would highly recommend it. We are used to staying a large resorts and this was the first time that we stayed at an Inn (when we planned our trip we booked 4 nights at the Marquesa and 3 at the Westin - wish we stayed at the Marquesa all 7!) When we arrived we were brought to our Deluxe room which was very large (huge marble bath) with 2 queen beds. We were told that the central air had broken and that they had just put a window unit it. They apologized for this and told us that if we were comfortable (temp wise) we could stay in this room or they could move us. the problem was they would need to move us to a Standard room for 1 night, but then upgrade us to a Junior Suite for the following 2 nights. The owner (I think) left us to get us wine while we thought it over. We decided to move since it was warm in the room and we weren't sure it would get much cooler. Needless to say, we were able to see the Deluxe, Standard, and Junior Suites. The pictures on TripAdvisor don't do the hotel justice. (sorry I don't have pictures to post! It looks as good as the hotel website if not better) Each room was beautiful. They all had huge marble and granite baths with unique fixtures and beautiful unique furniture (think Ethan Allen) - nothing cheap or flimsy. Each room as a balcony (think cottage), most private. They had turn down service every evening. They have 2 pools, neither which were ever crowded. They were very quite. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. No young children. No one who works there bugs you - everyone leaves you to do your own thing - but at the same time, if you need something they are very accomodating. Although I would recommend this hotel to anyone, there were a few negatives/things to be aware of. They only serve a continential breakfast (not included), no lunch and no cocktails by the pool (though they do offer complimentary ice tea and water). Also, although the restaurant at the hotel (dinner) is supposed to be one of the best on the island, we had an inedible meal (oversalted to the point of inedible). The service was good though and the vegetable ravioli appetizer was great. Another note, the hotel appear on a map that it is far from the action - it is not, it is about a block from Duval. Overall, a great stay and probably the nicest hotel on the island for a romantic getaway.

i would highly recommend the marquesa hotel. it's perfect for couples and our stay was great. the hotel itself is gorgeous...very clean and quiet, perfect for relaxing and chilling out. the grounds are stunning with lavish greenery and two swimming pools. would recommend ordering breakfast for beside the pool...! the room was very spacious and had everything that we needed. they really have thought of everything!

the staff were really accommodating and friendly...we arrived a day early due to a change in our travel plans and they were able to facillitate us. they also provided us with all the information and maps for key west that we needed.

our only regret was not having enough time to eat at the marquesa cafe...next time!

We decided last minute to accompany our friends on a trip to Key West and stay at Marquesa. What a delight! Only 27 rooms and tastefully decorated. Staff wonderful, location great (1 block off Duval). Private and soooo relaxing. Go for the "junior suites" that have their own private terrace and larger rooms with sitting area. We loved everything about it. Breakfast in AM brought to your door in less than 10min (homeade banana bread) coffee, juices, etc for $10. 2 pools . paradise. Thanks for a great stay.

“Reservation problem”

Marquesa Hotel

Tried to book a small suite at 300 $ ++, then the price got up to 350 $ ++. Price increase that we accepted without making any problem and finally, sorry, we cancel your reservation.
How does that sound?
