Not worth the money. My husband and I had reservations for the first three nights of our 5 night stay in Key West..We booked through AAA and found that the AAA room is not that great of a deal.We were on the second floor over the hotel entry.The balcony view of Duval was totally blocked by a huge tree. The bathroom was super small and needs a re-do (baseboards missing,aging walls) It definitely was not the "Pier House"
that you may have heard about in years past. The beach area was nice,friendly staff. The exercise room was terrible...really bad treadmills. It looked like my spare room at home....a place to store all of the exercise equipment that isn't being used. Overall it was a 5 out of 10.

My wife and I stayed at the Pier House Resort and Spa for a week in July 2005 for our honeymoon. We booked a Harborview Room and were not disappointed. We had the best seat in the house for the famous Key West Sunsets. We would return every night just before sunset and enjoy and photograph the memorable sunsets in the privacy and quiet of our own room and on our own private balcony.

The entire staff at the Pier House was very friendly and helpful - they did all they could to help make the stay enjoyable.
The location is second to none; just a short walk to the bristling excitement of Duvall Street, yet while on the Pier House premises, it is quiet and relaxing. The beach and pool are small, but clean and enjoyable. The Chart Room is a great place to escape the crowds of Duvall Street and sit and have a nightcap before turning it. It's a very quaint, comfortable, friendly pub.

The price of the room was fair, given the ambience and the convenience to everything - and it was kept very clean. We absolutely loved our stay at Pier House and will return again soon. We highly recommend it!!

This is a great location being at the beginning of Duval. It has a rare private beach, including one that is topless. The pool is open 24 hours. There is a sunset bar where you can see an amazing sunset. Our room had a beautiful terrace that was next to the koi pond which was quite private.

The problems...the room was not very clean. There were dead bugs, some type of flying insect, all over the bathroom floor.
The bathroom was very, very tiny. You can barely close the door. The television had a lot of static and the speakers were blown. There was a lot of noise as the walls are very thin!

There is an envelope with the maids name where you can include gratuity. After leaving a few dollars in the envelope, the bugs were finally swept up.

I received a significant AAA discount which helps to justify my stay here. Otherwise, I would never pay full price for this hotel. If you enjoy the private beach area and the great location on Duval, this may be worth it. I found that it is far too easy to stay somewhere else and take a cab to Duval.

This is rating only the spa, but we want to recomend it highly. My friend had a pedicure during our recent visit to Key West. That gave both of us access to their lovely facility.
