First time to Key West. Didnt know what to expect, and i dont know if it is the nicest place to stay in Key West or not, but it was pretty nice. Its Key West, so people want open air, and there were sets of two story buildings that all connected by open air walkways. Good rooms. Clean. Nice areas near the water, beautiful sunset terrace for drinks or dinner, and it is at the end of Duval St. so it is near the action. All good.

The down side are things the hotel may or may not be able to control... that end of the island is like Grand Central on the water and in the air ... jet skis and boats every 30 seconds, jets and prop planes every other minute, so "peaceful" is not the word to use. and the private beach is small and next to the Tiki bar which is loud after about 3 pm. And the check in / front desk area felt more like a motel (albeit a nice one) than a 5-star resort. but after all , its Key West, so its a mix of southern beach rural with a splash of New Orleans.

very nice room. just get a standard room near the pool. it's all that you'll need and its the very best value. the most perfect location in key west. in the middle of everything but bery quiet and calm on hotel grounds. nice private beach on the gulf side. pretty pool. nice restaurants, bars and tiki bar. stayed 4 nights.

This was an above average hotel in Key West, Florida. The location is perfect - on the end of Duval Street so there is no noise or honkey tonk yet you are in easy walking distance of the heart of the latter should you wish to party. The hotel rooms are nicely appointed, room service is excellent and the restaurant serves tasty food and drinks. There is a VERY wee beach but that is more than most hotels in Key West have. The only minus was the shower - it was a rainfall shower and the spray couldn't be adjusted so you had to hug the wall. Other than that small caveat I think you will be well pleased if you chose the Pier House for your stay in Key West. There is a Cuban restaurant just up the ocean walkway that is over the moon fabulous. Get the Cuban sandwich there - just the memory makes my mouth water. Rent a bike - it is the best way to see all of Key West easily.

Let's face it. Key West isn't that big of a place. Duval Street is what people will want to see and the Pier House is right on the end of Duval Street. Close enough where you are right where you want to be but isolated enough where you won't hear noise when you want quiet. A private beach area was awesome. Sure the beach itself isn't huge but it was perfect. Quiet, secluded, wonderful view of the sunset.

I would love to go back to Key West again and again and I couldn't fathom staying anywhere else. Staff was friendly and helpful; check-in was simple. Once we arrived we never took the car out, everything we wanted was within walking distance. Stayed over Labor Day weekend.
