I make multiple visits annually as I "snowbird" down to the Lower Keys for a couple months each winter ... and I will maintain as other reviews here, that a little time spent in Capt. Tony's Saloon is imperative. It's oft times rowdy and fun, sometimes lower-keyed but still fun, often with live country/bluesy musicians included, it's THE institution of Key West. The location of the REAL and ORIGINAL place where Ernest Hemingway was a regular in his day is Capt. Tony's. To Have Or Have Not?

Captain Tony's is by far my favorite stop in Key West. We have been visiting Key West every January for the last several years and Captain Tony's is a daily treat. Be sure to try the Pirate Punch and stop in during the evening when Captain Tony is on site. He is a hoot!

I love Capt. Tonys ... but on a recent visit I was greeted by flying termites. I hope they do something. It would be a crime to lose such a great place

We have been to KW on several occassions now and find Captain Tony's to always be fun and friendly. It still has that KW style. We were down last week and Captain Tony was there signing things for people and just chatting. He is a wonderful man. Don't forget to try to get the coin in the fishes mouth outside before you leave.
