On Whitehead Street is an attraction loaded with history, art and a small tropical garden. The tour starts in the three story house that was used by John J Audubon for a visit to Key West. Part of the charm of the tour is Bob's, the manager, welcoming and tour of the first floor. Bob offers a wealth of information of the history of the house and the various peices of furniture on display. The second and third floors are a self guided tour and do not miss the gallery on the third floor featuring original prints of the drawings of the 16 species of unknown birds Audubon discovered and drew in Key West. The garden is very nice and features several types of tropical flowers and trees. For $11 dollars this is a great place to visit.
