You absolutely can't go to Key West without visiting Mallory Square. There is so much to see and do and a most awesome place to watch the sunset and don't forget to watch the "Cat Man". He's a character and so aren't the kitties.
This is a fun place to go, the sunsets are beautiful and the all of the performers do a great job, bring some money for tipping, they really work hard to put on great shows.
Fun, do this at sunset for lighthearted entertainment, free, though the performers do expect and flat out ask for your dollars.
We had a nice view of the visiting cruise ships here. The sqaure also housed chickens, roosters, and vagrants hanging around. Lots of rowdy drunks returning to the ships. Tacky vendors abound. Not much shade in the heat. Not much to attract the daytime visitor.
I didn't know what to expect of Mallory Square, but it was absolutely awesome. The performers were excellent and the sunset was amazing. Bring some cash and show the performers some love, they have some serious skills!
