“Really Nice place to stay with a family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2009

There are a few picky things I could mention about this resort but the reality is I thought it was near perfect. There is ample boat parking and a resort marina if you need it. The rooms are a little old but HUGE and well laid out. My kids stayed for hours on the patio, it wraps around the unit and is one of the longest patios I've seen. The internet isn't free but it is dirt cheap, I think 10 bucks for a week.

The pool/jacuzzi is in bad need of a paint job but the grounds team is as nice of a group as I've ever met. This was one timeshare exchange that I felt as though I got fair value or better. I would avoid building one if possible. It's in the front of the resort and directly across the street from a loud bar and also the maintenance shed is under building one and the crew starts work at 7am and they can be loud.

We got this on a trade for our timeshare, but it can be rented. If you're looking for the Four Seasons, this isn't it. While this timeshare seems a bit dated, it is clean and everything works. It's in a great location for divers at MM100, where several dive ops are located. Rainbow Reef is our favorite because unlike most dive ops in the Keys, it puts a DM in the water with you. Anyway, the unit has a large bathtub and large porches, perfect for rinsing and drying dive gear. Since the bottom story is just piers in case of flooding, all the balconies are elevated so that your gear can't be easily grabbed by passers by. The tile floor in the living/dining area is a good staging area to set up dive gear. The bed and sofas are comfy. It's nice to have two bathrooms, a full sized fridge, a washer/dryer and an extra bedroom that can be used as a dressing room. As a timeshare, there's no maid service unless you pay extra. We like to travel in luxury most of the time, but for diving Key Largo, the convenience of the location, large size and layout make up for the lack of hotel amenities or view. It's also right across the street from Doc's Diner, which has the best breakfasts in town. Also, the WiFi is cheap and works well.

Sharkeys bar accross the street has loud, awful live performers who seem to have the amps turned up all the way and the music blasts right into unit 3 C like crazy.
While Largo Villas are old, very large units with great wrap porches and well maintained grounds, they are frowsy, were not well cleaned, and the noise drove us nuts...we left a day early.
The drawers in the unit were dirty and hairy, the kitchen trash can broken, a used broiler pan was in the oven, the dining chairs were threadbare in spots, but the worst part is the music most nights booms into your windows and is very hard to drown out....it would not be as loud in other units, but it was awful in 3 C..
Also, check in is at 4pm on Friday, but the office closes at 4pm and it does not open again until monday whcih was odd.
I would not stay here again despite the roominess, kindness of the managers, and lovely wrap around porches.

This large 2 bedroom/2 bath condominium unit was clean and well furnished. The grounds were well kept and the small pool/jacuzzi area was very clean. It was nice to have the washer/dryer and the large outside deck. If you have a boat, it is possible to pull it up to a dock right outside. Three of us stayed very comfortably without feeling crowded. Management provided us with some excellent restaurant recommendations. Given the hefty price we paid per night, I would have expected nothing less. If you look around the area, however, you can probably find a better value for the money.

Just returned from Key Largo after spending New Years Eve in the Keys. We stayed at the Port Largo Villas located in the Key Largo area and found it to be great place to stay. The grounds were clean and the unit was very large. Key Large is a great place to go and relax. The tempreture was 80 digreeses and lots of sunshine to relax around the pool or do a little suba diving, it's all there within a mile of Port Largo Villas. I would recomend the Keys for a relaxing vacation.

  • Liked — Large living area with full kitchen, very clean and quite.

I am writing this review hooked up to the free WIFI while sitting on the wrap-around balcony of our spacious and immaculate condo here in the Florida Keys! We have a great view of the tropical canal with many pleasure boats docked at private homes. Today is a bit windy and blowy as Tropical Storm Noel blusters by us, but we are well-protected and snug here on the sheltered second-story patio. We don't plan to go far for dinner, as a great restaurant, Coconuts, is a very short stroll away. Easy access as well from this central location to many other "Key-sy" eateries and shops. The management could not be nicer and the few things we needed (a light bulb or two) were delivered literally within minutes. The unit is great with a huge master bedroom, jucuzzi tub, two Queen beds and a spacious second bath. TVs' in every room and a great little sit-around bar for friends to chat at while drinking Margheritas rendered from the blender. Weather has not been ideal for diving, although my husband and I did win the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest sponsored by one of the local dive operators and was featured on CNN, the AP, Miami Herald, Comcast and was interviewd by a radio station in Great Britain by phone. As soon as Noel goes away, we will enjoy the free dive that we won. Just Love It Here! VERY laid-back resort with tidy, well-kept pool and hot tub, nice landscaping. Walk to fishing, snorkeling, diving or pick up a shuttle to the Casino Boat (free tickets with your stay included!) We will definitely be back!

I stayed here last June, and we took a group of 8. There was a master bedroom with a king bed and a full bath, another bedroom with 2 queens, and then a pullout couch. The condo also has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and full wrap around deck/patio. I stayed on the top floor.

This is a great condo for a family. It is a good base for fishing, exploring and more.

The condo has a pool and all kinds of sports activities. The condo staff stays low key.

This is a great stay for a week of relaxing, fishing, exploring, and having fun. I would definatly come back.
