My husband and I along with our son and his grilfriend were in Key Largo for a dive trip. After perusing a brochure on local restaurants we decided to try and Conch House and were not disappointed! In fact. we went back the next day for lunch, I had the delicious conch chowder in a bread bowl and my son had the fish tacos which were to die for. We also had dinner there again that night. The special was the local Florida lobster. The next day we had to leave because of tropical storm Faye but decided to go there for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were homemade and delicious. The rest of my family had either eggs Benedict or omelets and were very satisfied.
It is a family owned restaurant complete with a dog outside in the evenings and an African Grey named Romeo who has a cage on the side porch. We would go out of our way to dine again at the Conch House!

We went to this "hole in the wall" place for lunch based on previous reviews and we were not disapppointed! The food and service were excellent! I highly recommend seeking out this restaraunt for a wonderful meal. Walking up to the restaraunt was like walking into a quaint backyard but don't let the surroundings fool you that this might have a "girly" menu. We sat on the fully shaded patio and decided to begin with a bread bowl of lobster bisque (on the menu as a meal but we shared it as an appetizer since we both wanted to try it). We were notified by our friendly waitress that it would take a few extra minutes as they bake the bowls when ordered. --- sooo worth the wait!! Next came our Mahi Fish Wrap and Mahi Tacos. You could taste that this was fresh caught and freshly prepared, excellent. The attention of service was very helpful and friendly - our drinks never ran out! The food was plenty but knowing that this places also boasts of being a coffee house we opted to get/share a mocha freeze to go. (a freeze is your choice of a good variety of flavored expresso blended with vanilla ice cream like a shake) The smooth & robust flavor of the freeze was a perfect end to a leisurely lunch. There is no question that you should plan to make Key Largo Conch House Restaurant & Coffee Bar one of your stops when in the area!

My family and I visited Key Largo for the first time and found both the food and service at this wonderful restaurant to be top rate. The preparation of the food was excellent, the portions very nice sized and reasonably priced, and the servers were very friendly. The atmosphere was very homey with a beautiful porch and warm inviting interior. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit the keys - oh, and don't forget to try their key lime pie!

After reviewing the online experiences, we made a reservation and had our 31st anniversay at Key Largo Conch House. We found a table reserved for us, a card on our table congratulating us and they even "comped" a dessert. There was a diverse menu, every items was absolutely splended and the service was outstanding. Further, the price was exceptionally fair, given the quality of the food ($60 including meal, 2 drinks, and 1 paid for dessert...incl. tip).

Breakfast...we loved the place so much we came back for breakfast the next day and were equally pleased.

Lastly, this is a small, family run restaurant, and the quality showed!

Caution...the restaurant is a little difficult to find on the Atlantic side of Route 1 due to the trees (that make the place special). Be sure to slow down so you do not miss this gem.
