“Great, quiet and relaxing resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

My sons and I went to the Keys to fish. We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the inn. Our room was great. We had two large bedrooms and 2 baths. We had a patio that overlooked the pool. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate and the beach and pool were great. We used the kayaks, paddle boards and fishing equipment each day during our stay which was great. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It was very convenient to have coffee served in the morning. My kids enjoyed the cake that was offered as well. One recommendation, it would be great if they offered other breakfast items, such as bagels, muffins or croissants. Overall, it was a great inn and would come back again!!!!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the inn. I booked it online and wasn't sure about the room we would get.. After checking in, our room was small with no view. I think this was one of the few like this so be sure to ask when booking. I asked the very personable young lady at the desk if we could change our room. They were fully booked that night but she immediately booked us into another room for the next day at the front of the inn facing the gorgeous area in front with our own deck and plenty of room. They moved our luggage while we were out for the day and had everything ready for us when we returned. I didn't want to leave the next day! They did everything to please!

Room Tip: Book a room on the first floor facing the water.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed on a vacation. Everyone who worked there was nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the water and the sunsets was amazing. We stayed in the room directly above the office and it had a nice living room with a small kitchen (coffee pot, sink, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, and utensils). Everything was clean. I had no qualms about using the dishes and utensils. The towels and linens seemed new and were very nice. They have kayaks and other water "toys" available. We kayaked around the mangrove islands near by. They keep the beach and pool immaculately maintained. Be sure to go out on the pier at night to see the bioluminescent jellyfish. It looks like the stars have fallen into the water. The only thing (and it is small) that I would change is to have more variety of foods offered for breakfast. It was exactly the same the three mornings we were there.

Room Tip: Upstairs facing the water

We had a wonderful relaxing 2 days. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Taking breakfast sitting on the beach overlooking the lagoon was magic. We were told the hotel was full but we had the pool to ourselves and the location way back from the main highway was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were fine and comfortable. Easy to get to great restaurants and other attractions; I can't give it a better recommendation,

Room Tip: Rooms looking onto the lagoon.

We started our spring break with our 12 year old at a large theme park. When we arrived we were delighted to find peaceful and comfortable accommodations. Our suite was well decorated with wonderful views of the grounds, back bay, and sunsets. We enjoyed the pool, hammocks, and kayaks. Our only complaint was the so so breakfast and bathroom door which did not lock. The central air compressor outside the bedroom was loud, but did not awaken us.

Room Tip: Request room view of the back bay. We stayed in room 14 king suite.

Serene, quiet, beautiful! Just what my husband and I needed. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved having an enclosed patio. Hammocks were awesome. Appreciative to have kayaks and fishing poles. Didn't get a chance to bike. Breakfast was basic, would have liked a hard boiled egg or some type of protein. Dee Dee and Zee were extremely helpful. Would return.

The location of the hotel is great if it's somewhere you are looking to chill out and relax. Ideal for sunbathing or going out into the lagoon for an easy paddle or cycling along the relatively flat Keys looking for another good place to eat.
The hotel room was comfortable and had everything we needed and wanted for a relaxed break. A car is essential if you wish to explore the full length of the Keys - as we did. I even played golf down in Key West :-)
The self catering facilities were limited but adequate. The hotel provided a good breakfast to get us started each day. Plenty of fresh fruit, fresh juice, local breads, cereal and plenty of coffee.
There was a good choice of local restaurants - our favourite the Old Tavernier, was only two miles down the road. Local shops were also within easy reach, walking distance or an easy bike ride away.
The reception staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help. :-))
We wanted to get away to relax and just forget about the hustle bustle of working life - and the Coconut Palm helped us do that.
If you are thinking of going to the Keys then consider a night or two at the Coconut Palm - you won't regret stopping off in Tavernier.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view out into the lagoon.
