“Beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Secluded location and away from the main road. We had a lovely room which was very clean and spacious. There was a screened area outside your room where you were able to sit and watch the sunset, have a relaxing drink, and not be pested by insects. There was also a patio area outside your room. The private sandy area was superb for relaxing, with chairs, hammocks and a jetty from which you could see any sealife. There was also a pool area with plenty of loungers and towels provided. This was a very good location from which to see the Keys. Staff were also polite and friendly and helpful.

This was a repeat stay and once again-- best choice in Key Largo. Property is part of the trip, you can kayak, paddleboard, swim and sun at the pool, or just relax watching the sunset. Quiet, clean and very comfortable-- feels like your own place with added touches. The staff offers great suggestions for dining and activities. Just off the main road, a hidden hideaway!

Room Tip: Relax and enjoy -- property offers awesome sunsets views -

We, two couples from Naples, wanted to go to Key West by car for a few nights. We decided to stop on the way out and back for a night to make the long car trip less of an ordeal. We found the Coconut Palm Inn and the stop over became as much fun as the destination! We stayed for two really fun evenings and had lots of fun in this cool tucked away waterfront spot. We enjoyed restaurants that they recommended to us and the owners/staff were just a lot of fun!

Go, get to know them. Thare are very nice!

Leave it all behind and take time in a hidden place of paradise. Private beach, pool, romantic scene, garden.... what a priceless location to relax. Have a drink near the waters and enjoy the breeze.

Staff jis great and very attentive.

I almost don't want to share our awesome experience with the TA community bcuz the Coconut Palm Inn was so wonderful that I don't want to let the secret out! This property is tucked away along the shoreline with a small private beach, boat launch and pier. The grounds were in pristine shape and well maintained. There was a small pool and hammocks hanging in the trees for all to enjoy. Our room was huge and spotless clean with a small kitchenette and separate living room.

The staff was great! When I first called to make the reservation I spoke to Kathy (I hope I have this right) who was exceptionally nice and helpful. She walked me through all of the room options bcuz the online photos made it difficult to choose. She even recommended the Eden House for our stay in Key West. One the day of our arrival I called for a late check in(we were not going to make it before 6 pm) I spoke to DeeDee who mentioned to us that she had upgraded our room for no additional charge just bcuz the room was available! I felt that this was a really nice gesture since that is not an upgrade you receive often at other hotels. Zee was working in the office on the day we checked out and she gave us great recommendations for us as we continued our drive down the keys including feeding the tarpon at Robbie's (cool experience)!!

A true hidden gem -- relaxing and quiet. The small hotel was full during our stay, but it never felt crowded. It is an older establishment, but very well maintained. Not fancy, but very sweet and charming. The staff were great and gave us great recommendation for places to eat both in Key Largo and Islamorada. It was in a beautiful little harbor on the bayside. A very nice and clean man-made beach (you can swim in the bay, but the bottom is really mucky and grassy) and a small pool with use of their kayaks and paddleboards. All in all a very lovely stay.

Its hard to find high end accommodations on the Florida Keys. The Coconut Palm Inn comes close. I stayed here 2 years ago and it remains a nice place to stay. While I appreciate the amenities and space they provide for each guest, I would suggest they pay a little more attention to detail cleaning. Not that the daily cleaning was not done, but there were items I would have expected to have been done as semi annual or off season cleaning that are going to hurt them if not attended to (baseboard cleaning, wiping down bathroom items, doors and metal fixtures, deep dusting of items in the room, blinds need serious attending,) The bathroom shower and kitchen area were both very clean, a deciding factor when I check-in to a hotel! The bed and linens are outstanding So comfortable and the softest sheets ever. The front office is very kind and accommodating. They make you feel like your visiting their home. This is a bonus in my travel book. I would absolutely stay here again, as I said, its hard to find high end accommodations in the FL Keys.
