We almost turned away because the parking lot was full and we needed to park across the street. We were so glad we parked and went in. We took our 4 kids here for dinner and we were seated immediately at a table (no reservation), in the front corner, outside, as the sun was close to setting. Gorgeous view. Friendly and efficient server. Food was fantastic. Price was fair for setting and quality of food. A group of dolphins came swimming by as if on cue and the kids really enjoyed that. There is an underwater light in the channel and we were able to watch many angelfish swimming along. Our food came out in a timely manner and we didn't feel rushed a bit. Go here.

We ate at Sundowner's based on other reviews. We were not disappointed. The proximity to the Marriott resort is a plus. The blackened grouper was excellent. The Key Lime Pie was excellent, but a little spendy at $8 a slice. It was a Friday night and they had a guy playing guitar and singing songs outside. Overall a great experience.

Not a bad place if you're looking for somewhere to hang out out and have a decent bite to eat on the water. Definitely not a great restaurant by any means but falls into the same quality as most of the bar like, fried food restaurants of the keys. Being on the water is this restaurants strongest point.

Been to this restuarant twice, the first time I did not learn my lesson. We had a special birthday, called in advance to make sure we could eat outside to watch the Suset was informed no problem. Showed up and we we cattled inside and advised we could not eat outside as there no space even thought most tables we empty. None the less the service was slow, most of the staff are young and hang out at the bar talking to each other. The food was over cooked and greasy not to mention cold. Asked the waiter to fix the problem was told the kitchen was cold and that the food was hot when it came out? None the less very poor overall from management to staff, not to mention we saw two freaking rats by the entrance of the place as we left! The setting and location is great but the food and service will turn a possible wonderful experience into a regretful one - STAY AWAY
