Not to be missed if spending a few days in Key Largo. We spent three nights using it as a base and exploring Key West and other spots.

Went to Key West and wished we had booked a few days there as well. Its a fantastic fun place,. friendly, very safe and just overwhelming in its attractions although it is only in a small area.

Dove Creek is a large motel type hotel with good clean accomodation, very helpful owners/staff with a good Continental breakfast and outstanding if restricted view of mangroves and small Marina.

Fishing boats can be hired here for day trips to catch the 'big one'.

Shopping nearby is easy with plenty of good class restaurants within five monutes drive.

Small barbecues available outside and pool is fine if shaded area found. It was 87 degrees when we were there which prohibited sun bathing unless you were plain daft!.

Snooks Restaurant and adjacent bar is a blast. We were there during Conch Day celebrations, don't ask me what they were celebrating but we got into the mood very quickly.

What else is there to say, its a fantastic spot to stay for a short period of time en route elsewhere. Geat value for money and one of the receptionists/owners has hair to die for.

Go and see.

Fantastic vacation at Dove Creek Lodge! Facilities, surroundings, and staff - especially the staff - are all A+. We highly recommend it and will not hesitate to return. jkg.

Just back from an amazing couple of nights at the Dove Creek Lodge, Key Largo. It is an absolute island paradise and a wonderful place to stay. The pool area is gorgeous and you can relax on the hammocks and chill out listening to the music. Hotel staff are very friendly and it is a really homely place. Amenities include glass bottom kayaks that you can hire from the hotel and we also did a snorkel trip and watched the amazing sunset on the way back on the catamaran. Fabulous!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Dove Creek Lodge for 5 days/4 nights in mid-April. Even before we arrived, I could tell that the decision to stay here was a good one. I had neglected to notice (despite it being written in bold lettering) in my confirmation email that the hotel lobby closes at 9pm. While sitting at a leisurely dinner in Miami, my phone rang at about 8:30pm. It was Dove Creek Lodge wanting to know if I would be there before 9pm, so as to make alternate arrangements for the room keys if my arrival was going to be later. Talk about being proactive! The level of service displayed by the entire staff at DCL was second to none. Gwen (the concierge) was wonderful, as was Jaime (the GM). I highly recommend the Dove Creek Lodge and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
