“Loved It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

There are very few places that I have stayed that I actually loved and would return in a heartbeat, and this place is one of them. From the moment we arrived everything was great. It is a super cute resort and little beach cottages all around. We arrived before check-in and our room was not ready yet (no big deal) so we left to get lunch and came back. When I arrived back, the manager remembered me by name (no one does that these days! It is the little things) and he got us all settled in. The hotel has a private beach with lots of beach chairs and tables. They let you sign out kayaks for free (which we did and was so much fun). It is in a great location for Key Largo. It took over 5-minutes to get to the snorkel place. There are great muffins and coffee made fresh every morning. I could live there forever!

As native Floridians, we have traveled to the Keys hundreds of times. We always found the Upper Keys to be more commercially developed and touristy, which was exactly what we were trying to escape from on the mainland, so we drove straight through to the Lower Keys. Our last getaway didn't allow for time to and from the Lower Keys, so we scoured Trip Advisor for the best lodging options in Key Largo.

WOW! What a gem!

The Seafarer has earned every single positive TA review, but the truth is that it is impossible to convey just how special this place really is. We had the pleasure of meeting Henry, the owner, who was delightful as were the rest of the staff - including a housekeeper who constantly asked us if we needed anything.

The resort location is perfect and the private beach is wonderful with many chairs, lounges, hammocks in both sun and shade. There is an artificial rock reef within swimming distance and kayaks are provided for exploring the nearby mangroves and sandbars. Beach towels are provided for free.

Above all else, I was most impressed with the cleanliness of our little room (which was really quite spacious). It was immaculate! There was NO sand on the floor, a nearly impossible feat in the Keys, especially places with a sandy beach! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were well laundered and crisp. Unlike many hotels/resorts, the comforters were very clean and I saw the housekeeping staff changing them out as they reset the villas for the next guests. A+++++++

We loved this place and will definitely be back when time prevents us from driving the distance to our preferred Big Pine Key area. If you're staying in Key Largo, your search is over. Don't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Rooms 7 & 8 are adjacent to housekeepings staging and laundry area. Didn't bother us, but if...

Absolutely loved this place and we'll definitely be back! We stayed in studio 7 and it was perfect. The most relaxing vacation we have had in quite some time. Also very close to bars, restaurants, etc. Great view. ..great location. ..very friendly staff. Excellent.

The Seafarer is a wonderful motel just on the edge of Key Largo. We stayed in a cottage with a good sized living room and kitchen area and two bedrooms. There was ample space for our car right outside. The Seafarer backs on to the sea with a small beach with hammocks. The Seafarer has single and double canoes wich are free tro borrow. we went out early one morning in them and saw a manatee. Each morning homemade muffins plus coffee and juice are provided at reception each morning which was a really nice touch. There is also a Denny's two minutes walk \away for dinner. Our only disappointmnent is that we were only staying two nights.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a great romantic getaway location without the huge bill at the end. I looked at several other establishments in Key Largo and Key West; I stumbled upon this gem and boy was it worth it! The rooms are what you expect from a hotel by the ocean, but are very clean. New airconditioners installed in every room and fresh paint takes this hotel a long way. Location was great as we were able to launch to multiple venues easily, but the great beach access allowed for kayacking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and just relaxing with our toes in the sand as we watched the sunset everynight. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made you feel at home. I'm usually a person who likes to be left alone, but their friendly demenour and just the right amount of "approachableness" certainly was appreciated. I would definitely recommend this to other families and couples. We stayed in Room#11, the Beach house and although it did not have its own kitchen, the proximity to the beach was top notch. A definite MUST for couples young and old looking for a quite place to connect.

Great time, friendly staff, and wonderful view. This is not a fancy resort which is exactly how we wanted it. Couldn't have been happier. Use their kayaks for free or pay a small $20 fee for the paddle boards, either way you just get in the water right from your little bungalow and enjoy the beautiful Keys. For a nice little getaway it is perfect.

You would never know from the hiway what a lovely motel this is. Beautiful landscape. Quite area by the water. It is an older establishment but has been recently painted and is spotlessly clean. Just a few rooms and cottages so it's very private. Definitely a get away from it all place.
