“Nice, cosy and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

I went there yesterday and I instantly loved it. It is a cosy Bar, the waitresses were very friendly and as I am a pescetarian, the menu was superb..
My partner and I shared a portion of onion rings, it was huge and very tasty. But as we still had another dish, we didn't finish it. The waitress suggested to take the rest home and even gave us a recipe how to use the onions for breakfast. My other dishes: Caesar salad and stuffed shrimps were delicious. My partner enjoyed his dish as well, and really enjoyed his Belgian Stella beer. As Belgian he was surprised that they serve Stella :) I would suggest Hobo to everybody.

For years we stayed away from Hobo's because it was labeled Bar and we don't frequent bars for eating. Then someone convinced me to try it......it has the best fish sandwich in the entire world!!!!!
The rest of the menu is really, really good also. I recommend it to everyone. It's one of those local places that you should not miss.

“All the good reviews are true”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Key Largo is a strange town and not what you might expect. Amid the many trailer parks and unsavory looking hotels and restaurants is a gem that doesn't look like much. We read about it in the NY Times and thought we'd check out the restaurant for lunch. It was hard to select an entree b/c there were many choices, but the salads were winners. One of us had the grilled chicken salad and the other the fish salad. Yummy. The people at the next table were local regulars who were oohing and aaahing over the daily special which was an old fashioned meat loaf that was too big for the plate. The hostess was so friendly and helpful and the waitress told us where to go and where not to go in terms of sightseeing. The meal was super delish and the prices were right. We are no NY Times writers but we know good food, and this place hit the spot. Many seedy joints in Key Largo; this is not one of them.

“Blackened seafood trio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

Yummy dinner at Hobos "Conch Fritters, blackened seafood trio (Mahi Mahi, sea scallops and large shrimp). Delicious with Cajun sauce!!! It wouldn't be HOBO's without Cathy G!! She's the heart of the place!!
