I read up on reviews before we came to the area and was pleased to find this place was close to our hotel. We went for dinner and had great service, great food! I had a burger which is billed as being 'freshly made pattie' and it was AWESOME! SO much flavor! My daughter had the Taco Plate and loved it as well. We took a slice of key lime and peanut butter pie to go - those were great as well! This place had so much character! We enjoyed looking at all the license plates and other decor. Small place, only maybe 8 4-person tables and 2 2-person tables. Bar seating as well. They offer many beers - I don't know much about them but they had a large selection! I highly recommend this place!

Went there per many reviews and local recommendation. Had breakfast and it was good but not great. Average food. The French Toast was very thin with no sign of egg coating. The Chocolate cake and Carrot cake were frozen so they are moshy, not as good as fresh cake. The Key Lime pie was home made but also frozen so it was as good as fresh baked. The walls were decorated with license plates from all over the country. It was fun to find our state plates there. The waitress was very friendly. The price was better than other restaurant so that's a plus. But I don't find their food to be as good as the review said. It's a good place to go for a casual meal.

I can only surmise that the reviews are being written by employees and/or owners. The food was disgusting, you could read the paper THROUGH the bacon and the coffee was nasty. Cute place, nice staff but horrible food.

Mrs. Mac's is a great place! My boyfriend and I were there in April 2008. It was in walking distance from our motel and not only was it convenient but the food was really good. We ate there for dinner one night and breakfast the next morning. Don't let the appearance of the building fool you, they have super friendly staff and the food is excellent! I'll definitely go there again the next time I'm in the Keys.
