That's what it says on the back of the waitresses shirts, and eat well we did on 3 nights out of 4 we spent in Key Largo (the other night we ate somewhere else for a change, and were disappointed !). Its a basic 'no frills' diner, but the food is good and well cooked (we tried the steak and the fish), the service very friendly and the prices represent excellent value for money. The local beer is good and cold, and costs about $2.1/2 a pint.. We're glad we found it.

Mrs. Mac's has been there forever. It fills a nitch in the Keys but definitely not my favorite place in Key Largo. A lot of the stuff is fried and not particulary a healthy choice. It's a good local spot and very reasonable. The mushroom burger had on tiny mushroom on it. Could have been a lot better. Worth a try, just to see all the license plates.

I have been coming to this establishment whenever I have been in the keys since 1991. I continue to find it an extremely friendly, superb value restaurant, serving a fair range of good quality food, traditionaly cooked. I go for breakfast, lunch, 'a beer at five' and dinner - though not all in the same day! The staff are friendly and helpful - the food is simple but well executed and the daily specials will always have something to please. If you happen to be a wine lover, the range is small, but the prices incredible ( I cannot buy these wines in a shop in the UK at twice this price!). In short, if you like excellent quality, home cooked food, at very fair prices, with friendly staff - forget linen table cloths and south beach prices - come here! I have been for 17 years (my last visit was last week, almost 17 yrs to the day from my first) and look forward to the next 17 years.

Look carefully for Mrs Mac's Kitchen when headed southbound out of Key Largo, it's easy to miss and not especially easy to turn around when you missed it!

As the previous reviewer suggested, Mrs Mac's is not at all a sushi place - indeed far from it. It's a diner, serving local seafood in standard formats.

The portions are hearty and the free refills of iced tea and lemonade are pleasant on a hot day. We weren't quite able to discover what makes Mrs Mac's as great as all the reviewers here say, though we did enjoy a lunch that included the fresh fish sandwich and we would recommend it if you're passing by.
