My husband and I just returned from a 6 night stint in the Keys and had three meals @ Calypso! The place was highly recommended by the Inn we stayed at, and rightfully so! My husband is extremely particular about well prepared food and if he had it his way, we would have dined there every night! Great dishes include the coconut shrimp, fish tacos, ceviche and the butter pecan fish, to name just a few. We liked the wait staff, too! They were quirky and real--very kind. We didnt feel as if we landed in a tourist trap, either. No frills, but fish so fresh it practally jumped off the plate. Who cares about the lack of silverware? Such a non-issue if the food is good + fresh.

Laid back "Florida Keys" atmosphere. Great food! The butter pecan fish is amazing. As is the White Wine Sangria.

Every year we make a trip down to Key Largo for our son to attend dolphin assisted therapy, and every time we are there we stop for either lunch or dinner at Calypso's. My husband loves their seafood pasta so much, he made me take a photo of it! The atmosphere is casual, which is what we love about the place. We enjoy being so close to the water and like to watch the fishing boats come in while we dine.
Great food. Attentive staff. Love it!
