We just returned from a 2 night stay (too short!) at this funky little inn. The setting was incredible in a little marina with a sandy point perfect for having a sunset picnic. Susie who runs the place is incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat. Although we only went out to lunch waiting for our room to be ready and ate picnics (stone crabs and champagne!) on the property both evenings - we didn't want to leave!
Susie also arranged a fishing charter which we shared with other guests. Sunrises on the point were spectacular. There were occasionally manatees that swam around the point as well. All in all a wonderful little getaway.

We only stayed one night on our way down to the Keys, had we known we would have just stayed here and enjoyed the calm. Wonderful owners, very peaceful surroundings, roomy accommodations with kitchen, sofa, tv, phone. They even bring your breakfast to your door the next morning! Loved it!

Relaxing, very, very clean, well equiped rooms, breathtaking views. Nearby fishing guide, Billy Jones, took us where we needed to be and we caught fish! Thanks Suzie you're the best!
We'll be back.

  • Liked — It was very warm.
  • Disliked — No fishing pier.

We only stayed here for 1 night on our way up from Key West but could have stayed much longer! We had the two rooms on the second floor which were both spotless with lovely furniture. The pool is really nice for relaxing by aswell as a little beach area which we didn't have time to use. The fire alarm went off at night but someone came over from one of the boats and turned it off so wasn't a problem! We were recommended a lovely restaurant for lunch and another for dinner. There is a publix supermarket nearby to stock the fridge up. Suzy who worked at Tarpon Flats was lovely and very welcoming. She let us in to our rooms early as were arrived at lunchtime. My husband took one of the complementry canoes out on the water and really enjoyed it. The whole place is very relaxing although you do need a car as it is off the beaten track! This adds to the appeal though as there is NO traffic noise at all. Would def stay again.

We made our way up from Key West to meet our friends at Tarpon flats. We were surprised to be driving into a housing area but what a nice location. The property is located on a little point of land projecting into the water. At the end of the point is a little beach area with chairs for watching the sun rise or just watching the day drift by.

There are only six rooms at Tarpon Flats. Our room was on the second floor and was large and clean. The room also has a small kitchen area with everything you would need for a weeks stay.

We ordered our breakfast in the evening and it was delivered to our room each morning. Everything was fresh and tasted great.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested several very nice places to have lunch and dinner. They also helped me get my "A" boarding pass on Southwest.

I would recommend Tarpon Flats to anyone except those who want a lot of night life. A wonderful place to stay for a relaxing vacation.
