Love the Pelican. Have stayed there 3 times. I go to Key Largo to dive while my family is visiting my in-laws. It is convenient, inexpensive and clean. The rooms I get are not suites, it's a bed with a bathroom, tv and fridge. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
The rooms range from a bed with two feet on either side to travel trailers. It is eclectic and interesting to say the least and reminds me of a place you'd stop at along Old Route 66, but with Palm Trees and Tiki Huts.
If that's what you are looking for I don't know of a better choice in Key Largo. But be warned, if you are looking for a 5-star hotel experience, you will be disappointed.
